Couples Therapy is a documentary series that follows real couples through months of couple's therapy with a highly regarded therapist. The series is filmed almost entirely in the therapist's office where we watch a diverse group of couples dive into their long standing conflicts, explore their personal histories and seek connection and new compassion for each other. In Couples Therapy Australia , we are taken through multiple sessions of therapy with psychotherapist Marryam Chehelnabi. The premise of Couples Therapy is that most couples suffer in isolation, rarely sharing the truth of their struggle with others. In fact, studies have shown that couples that seek therapy stay miserable for six years on average before they reach out for help. This show allows audiences the opportunity to watch people in conflict move through differences and find fresh avenues of connection. At its core, this series is purely documentary. Situations are not contrived; the stakes and tension are not manufactured. These are real, relatable couples in crisis, doing the actual work of therapy. Although the therapist's office is custom built for the production, it is unlike any other sets in that production is entirely invisible to the subjects. The couples entering the therapist space never see a camera, or a light stand. The show is rigorously designed so the therapist and the couples forget about the cameras and expose their true selves to each other and to us. Couples Therapy Australia seasons 1-2 premieres Thursday 5 June on SBS On Demand. Also, Couples Therapy season 4, part two is now available to stream at SBS On Demand. Episodes air weekly at SBS VICELAND every Monday at 10.45pm. In season 2 of Bosch: Legacy , former homicide detective Harry Bosch (Titus Welliver) moves on to a new chapter as a private investigator. She is smart, ruthless and shrewdly determined. Maddie (Madison Lintz), daughter of Bosch, charts her own course as a legacy in law enforcement. Wanting to follow in her father's footsteps, she's smart, independent and knows how to deal with scrutiny. Bosch: Legacy season 2 premieres Thursday 12 June on SBS On Demand. Ronda Rousey Speaks Out on UFC Rejection and Media Criticism
At one point, no athlete in MMA was more recognizable than Ronda Rousey. The former Olympic judoka didn't just dominate the women's bantamweight division—she transformed it. With a string of first-round armbars, Rousey helped usher in an entirely new era for the UFC, becoming the organization's first female champion and a mainstream crossover icon. But a recent interview sheds new light on the disconnect between her legacy and how she feels perceived today. In a vulnerable conversation with High Performance, Rousey opened up about her relationship with the UFC fanbase and media. 'Pretty sure if I walked into the arena, I'd be booed,' she said. 'I gave them everything I had and it wasn't enough.' She also addressed the media's role in reshaping her image, saying, 'I feel like I'm really vilified by MMA media at this point… I'm not really, you know, well welcomed back which is why I haven't gone to a UFC fight since.' Rousey also revealed a major factor in her UFC departure—long-term concussion symptoms possibly linked to CTE. In her memoir Our Fight, she wrote candidly about suffering concussions as far back as childhood and how the accumulation of head trauma continued throughout her judo and MMA careers. She described symptoms such as blackouts, vision issues, and numbness, noting that even light impacts could trigger episodes. The potential long-term effects, including CTE, weighed heavily on her decision to walk away. Over time, the toll on her health became too great to ignore. Ronda RouseyGetty Images Since stepping away from the UFC, Rousey has exited WWE and turned her focus to life outside the ring. She authored her memoir Our Fight, released in 2024, and has shifted attention to her family, raising her two daughters and embracing a quieter life away from the spotlight that once followed her every move. Recently, brief clips of Rousey training surfaced online, sparking speculation about a potential return to either WWE or the UFC. However, as of now, no official announcement or confirmation has been made regarding a comeback. Josh Thomson compares Belal Muhammad's UFC 315 performance to Ronda Rousey
Josh Thomson compares Belal Muhammad's UFC 315 performance to Ronda Rousey Josh Thomson sees similarities in Belal Muhammad and Ronda Rousey after UFC 315. Muhammad (24-4 MMA, 15-4 UFC) suffered severe facial damage when he lost his welterweight title to Jack Della Maddalena (18-2 MMA, 8-0 UFC) by unanimous decision in Saturday's main event at Bell Centre in Montreal. Although Muhammad said he would stand and trade with Della Maddalena, Thomson was surprised to see the former champion stray away from his strengths. He compared him to former UFC bantamweight champion and Olympic-bronze medalist judoka Rousey, who after going undefeated with six title defenses, was knocked out in back-to-back title fights against Holly Holm and Amanda Nunes before retiring. "Belal did exactly what he said he was going to do – ill-advised, but he did it," Thomson said of Muhammad on his "Weighing In" podcast. "I think he kind of realized the fight was slipping away a little bit, but he lost the fight. Is this one of those things where a coach got in your head and all of a sudden now you're like Ronda Rousey? "Like, they're believing that you could beat Floyd Mayweather? I was like, please don't tell me that's what you're doing. Was it because, like, 'Look, I'm the champ now, I've reached my goal, and now I'm going to show the UFC I can be entertaining.' Like, why?" Muhammad did eventually try and mix things up against Della Maddalena, but not before standing and trading for a significant amount of time. He went three of nine takedowns in a Fight of the Night battle. "I knew it was going to be a tougher fight than people were giving it credit to be," Thomson said. "Everyone was like, 'Oh, he's going to take JDM down, he's going to control it,' they kept going back to the Gilbert Burns fight. Now he maybe could have done that. He just chose not to. I have no idea why."
