Lewis Hamilton x Topps: A look at his most iconic cards and memorabilia
Big news this week - Lewis Hamilton just signed a major exclusive trading card and memorabilia deal with Topps. Hamilton's been an icon in Formula 1 since he came onto the scene in 2007 with McLaren, winning his first World Championship just a year later in 2008. He's since gone on to win seven world titles, tying Michael Schumacher for the most in history. In 2025, Hamilton made headlines again with a high-profile move from Mercedes to Ferrari after 11 dominant seasons. The goal? Help bring Ferrari back to championship form—and if anyone can do it, it's him. Off the track, Hamilton's been making serious waves in the collectibles space. So it's no surprise Topps came knocking. His cards and memorabilia have been in demand since he first stepped into an F1 car, and interest has only grown with time. On Mantel, collectors have been chasing Hamilton for a while - one user recently landed his coveted Dynasty F1 Auto . To mark this moment, here are some standout Lewis Hamilton items you should know about: Advertisement 2006 Futera Grand Prix "Next" #95 Lewis Hamilton Rookie Card Considered Hamilton's true rookie card, this was released in the 2006 Futera Grand Prix Racing set—a year before his F1 debut. It's incredibly rare, with only 31 PSA submissions and zero PSA 10s on record A PSA 9 sold for $312,000 at Goldin Auctions in 2022 , proving just how coveted this card is. 2020 Topps Chrome F1 Superfractor #1 Lewis Hamilton Topps Chrome's debut F1 set was a game-changer - and Hamilton was the prize. He had 17 different cards in the base set (most out of any driver), but the huge chase was his limited printed cards in the set. Not for the faint of wallet, his 1/1 Superfractor sold for a staggering $900,000 at Goldin in 2022 , making it one of the biggest F1 card sales ever. Advertisement 2009 Sports Illustrated for Kids Lewis Hamilton #360 Much more within reach for cost conscious collectors, this SI for Kids card still holds weight. Printed before the coming of modern F1 cards, it has become a nice piece of Hamilton history. Prices range from $150 to $2,000 depending on condition and grade (check it out on eBay) . Lewis Hamilton Signed Helmets with Race Worn Visor Hamilton's not just a racer - he is a style icon, and his helmets are an extension of that. Race-worn, signed pieces go for $30K–$40K , and make a statement in any serious collection. Lewis Hamilton Game-Worn F1 Suit from First Career Win This is the suit Hamilton wore during his first-ever F1 win in Montreal with McLaren - huge F1 moment. That race set off his rise as a global star and an icon in the sport. The suit hit Sotheby's in 2023 and sold for $241,300 . With his profile still climbing, don't be surprised if it's worth even more down the line. Advertisement Lewis Hamilton Formula 1 Cars Cards are cool—but how about an actual car? For ultra high-end collectors, Hamilton's race-used F1 cars are among the ultimate trophies. In 2021, his 2010 McLaren-Mercedes MP4-25, which he drove to victory in Turkey, sold at Sotheby's for a wild £4.73 million GBP ($6.3M US) and was his first F1 car offered to the public. And yes, roughly 140,000 people tuned in to watch the auction go down. Prices for Hamilton's F1 cars are only climbing. In 2023, another one of his race-used cars - the 2013 Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 W04 - was auctioned off by Sotheby's in Las Vegas for $18.8 million - insane. Whether you're chasing a $25 SI for Kids card or a seven-figure race car, Lewis Hamilton remains one of the most collectible athletes in modern sports history—and his new Topps deal only adds fuel to the fire. (Photo by Ben Ludeman/NHLI via Getty Images) (Ben Ludeman via Getty Images) While everyone has been focusing on the Great 8's quest to break Wayne Gretzky's goal record this season, Sidney Crosby has quietly broken one of The Great One's records himself. On Thursday night, Crosby clinched his 20th point-per-game season, giving him the most point-per-game seasons in NHL history. Talk about consistency! Another Milestone for Crosby Crosby's legacy continues to grow: he has three Stanley Cups and two league MVPs, recently led Canada to its first 4 Nations Cup victory, and now he's surpassed one of Gretzky's records.
