Chemung County now accepting applications for tourism grant
CHEMUNG COUNTY, N.Y. (WETM) – Chemung County is now accepting applications for its Room Tax Tourism Grant, which seeks to provide funding for organizations that are seeking to promote tourism in the county in 2025.
Non-profit agencies and organizations in Chemung County are invited to submit an application over the next few days to receive funding through the taxpayer-funded grant. Activities that are eligible for funding through the grant include, but are not limited to, events, festivals and promotional materials that help attract and welcome visitors. These funds may not be used for capital or infrastructure improvements.

Activities submitted for consideration should emulate the goal of boosting economic activity in Chemung County through increased overnight lodging; dining; attractions and the sale of gifts, souvenirs and other items to tourists.
Applications for the grant may be completed online through the Chemung County website. All applications must be submitted by Friday, March 7, 2025, at 4 p.m.
