The pair had supported Mel B's classic Scary Spice leopard print look by choosing to wear the bold print for her party. The remaining Spice Girls stars Victoria Beckham and Geri Halliwell-Horner were nowhere to be seen. However in February, Melanie C told The Sun of Mel B: 'I adore her and she has this thing, and it can sometimes get us into hot water. Of course we're always talking, we'd love to do something else.' 'I'd love to get back on stage with the girls but everybody wants to do something a little bit different or in a different way, so it's just trying to get everyone on the same page at the same time.' She added, 'But Melanie likes to manifest things and she thinks if she says it enough, it will happen. I can't confirm that there is anything happening soon but we're always talking about opportunities.' Last April, Victoria gave an update on the Spice Girls reuniting for the 30th anniversary while talking to Radio France. 'We do have a group chat, I do speak to all the girls. It would be lovely for us to do something to celebrate - a dinner or a lunch - and reminisce, but yes it will not be any more than that.'

Two Spice Girls set to snub Mel B's 50th birthday celebrations tonight days after reunion announcement
MEL B's big 50th birthday bash in Leeds tonight is set to be a glitzy affair. But The Sun can reveal TWO of her Spice Girls bandmates are giving it a miss. 6 6 Victoria Beckham and Geri Horner will be skipping the bash. Posh is out of town for work, but Geri has turned down the invitation. An insider spilled: 'Mel's throwing a huge party in Leeds for her 50th. It's also her fiance's birthday today so it's a joint celebration and will be a real family affair. "But Geri and Posh can't make it. Posh had a work commitment she couldn't get out of. "It's a bit awkward given the reunion excitement." The Sun has contacted their reps for comment. The snub comes just days after we revealed plans for the group to reunite as Avatars, following in the footsteps of pop legends Abba. It would see holograms of Geri, Mels B and C, Emma Bunton and Victoria playing their biggest hits. Victoria, who was not part of their 2019 tour, was said to have suggested she would agree if the others did. A source added: 'Their former manager Simon Fuller is desperate to have one last hurrah with the Spice Girls and this is his latest idea. "He was the person who came up with the original idea for Abba and their digital show and he thinks this model could work perfectly for the group. Mel B is due to marry Rory McPhee, 38, later this year. It comes as Geri and Mel suffered a "frosty reunion" at Victoria's birthday last year. Geri and Mel are said to have kept their distance at Oswald's private members' club in Mayfair at the star-studded bash. A source said of the stars, who had a second No1 in 1996 with Say You'll Be There: 'Mel tried to smooth things over with Geri at the party but it didn't go as planned. "She was laughing it all off but Geri didn't seem interested in hearing what she had to say and wandered off. 'When it came to taking their group picture, Geri kept as far away from Mel as possible which was awkward to watch." Any awkwardness between the group, who split in 2000, seemed to be forgotten by the time they hit the dancefloor — where they performed their 1997 hit Stop. Special honour that means Mel B can tie the knot in iconic royal wedding venue
Spice Girl's Mel B is set to marry her soon-to-be husband Rory McPhee, at the historic London landmark three years after their engagement, but fans are wondering how they landed the swanky booking Melanie Brown, better known as Mel B, is head over heels for her soon-to-be husband as they plan to tie the knot at none other than St Paul's Cathedral in the centre of London. The America's Got Talent judge has already revealed some insight into her wedding planning, and she confirmed on TODAY that they will be exchanging vows at the iconic cathedral. It's the same spot that the late Princess Diana and Prince Charles's royal wedding took place, back in 1981. While many people dream of hosting a wedding at the sought-after spot, Mel B revealed the VIP treatment that allowed her to secure the gig. She explained that it's thanks to her MBE title (Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) that she can be wed in the historic building. On TODAY, she shared: "I got an MBE for all my charity work that I've been doing. It was actually Prince William that gave me my little honorary badge. And it's quite a big deal. "I didn't realise how much of a big deal it was until I started reading about it, and then I started getting really nervous. It was really lovely. So because of that, I am going to get married in the same church as Princess Diana.' While the date of the wedding is unknown, it's thought that St Paul's only hosts a small amount of weddings each year, and so the couple is on the waiting list. Although one thing already ticked off the list is the ever-important wedding dress, which she has had designed by her fellow Spice Girls member. Victoria Beckham will be designing both Mel B's dress and her mother's. The pop star revealed that it was an "honour" to receive it. 'I don't think it would be fair to just have one [wedding dress]. Just have as many as you want — at least three, right?" she added. "One to actually get married in, which is the proper ceremony, very proper at this church, St Paul's. And then maybe I want to change out of that.' Her partner Rory McPhee is a hair stylist and businessman from Leeds and was a "family friend" of Mel's way before the two started dating. It's thought that the famous couple have been an item since 2018, but he popped the question back in 2022. Thanks to his hairdressing skills, which Mel B grew fond of during her time spent in the UK, they were able to bond on a deeper level. She confessed on TODAY: "So when I went back to England, he would come over and give me hair treatments and get my natural curls back. And as he was nurturing my curls back, I guess he was nurturing my trust and belief in a relationship.'

Mel B wouldn't say much about a newly-rumored Spice Girls reunion tour on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday, but she did drop some interesting details about her upcoming wedding. The 49-year-old singer (born Melanie Janine Brown) started dating her fiance Rory McPhee, a 36-year-old hair stylist and salon owner, in 2018. He popped the question back in October 2022, though now the wedding seems imminent, with the singer discussing the nuptials on the late night talk show, where she was promoting her return to America's Got Talent after a seven-year hiatus. She revealed that she'll be tying the knot in the famous St. Paul's Cathedral in London, which is one of the perks of becoming a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE), which she attained in 2022. That same legendary church is where Princess Diana and Prince Charles tied the knot in 1981. Mel said she would be 'humbled and honored' to have her wedding there. While having the wedding there is certainly an honor, she did open up about some very strict rules that must be abided by. She even got in a little practice walking down the aisle, saying 'I do' and throwing a bouquet thanks to some lucky audience members. That same legendary church is where Princess Diana and Prince Charles tied the knot in 1981, with Mel adding she was, 'humbled and honored' to have her wedding there. 'Yeah, and then you get to be interviewed by the Dean, and then it has to go through all this approval with the archbishop,' she said. 'I mean, they literally sit you down and say, "Why do you want to get married?" 'And you go, "Well, why do I? No, I do remember why. I love this man,"' she said.
