A club for the girls of London
From The Times, May 19, 1925A girls' mass meeting, arranged by the YWCA Blue Triangle Forward Movement, was held at Guildhall last night in aid of the projected central club house for girls, which is estimated to cost £200, Rosa Larcombe, chairman of the Girls' Council, presided. She said that the idea was to erect a great building similar to the YMCA in Tottenham Court-road. Great progress had already been made. On the platform were girls representative of all the Government offices, the banks, the railway companies, and almost every kind of business. The council set out to get £20,000 as their share of the £200,000, and up to the present they had raised £6,606. The women of London were trying to get
