‘I'm A Very Lucky Girl': JoJo Siwa On Her Relationship With Chris Hughes
Last Updated: JoJo Siwa heaped praise on her partner Chris Hughes, revealing that he was a 'good hugger'. JoJo Siwa has opened up about her relationship with entrepreneur Chris Hughes. The couple forged a friendship on the sets of the British television show Celebrity Big Brother UK, season 24, which kicked off this year on April 7. While Jojo bagged the third spot, Chris finished in sixth place. The pair confirmed their relationship a couple of months later on June 2. Now Jojo, a singer and dancer by profession, has spoken about how she unexpectedly fell in love with Chris. JoJo Siwa appeared on the June 5 episode of Gyles Brandreth's podcast Rosebud, where she talked about her new relationship. The Boomerang singer revealed, 'It is a beautiful journey. Serendipity is Christopher and I's favourite word now. If you read the definition of it, it is essentially finding love when you're least looking for it. I do not know how the universe aligned for Chris to come into my life." When the host asked JoJo Siwa to share some special qualities about Chris Hughes, the 22-year-old failed to pinpoint any one. Heaping praise on her partner, JoJo said, 'Initially, the first thing that I took in about him was that he was a good hugger. I liked his hug, which felt like a nice embrace, and he smelled good. I was like, 'Okay, cool!'" JoJo Siwa added that she bonded with Chris Hughes 'right away" starting as friends first. 'I was not looking to fall for him, he was not looking to fall for me, we were having so much fun together, we were having a laugh together. Whenever one of us was down, it was the other one who helped," said JoJo. Further into the conversation, JoJo Siwa admitted to feeling unhappy on the sets of Celebrity Big Brother UK. After her exit, she realised that she had developed feelings for Chris Hughes that she never 'intended to but couldn't not feel." JoJo said, 'I am a very lucky girl because he was feeling the same thing." Before Chris Hughes, JoJo Siwa was in a relationship with Kath Ebbs. They parted ways soon after the Celebrity Big Brother UK wrap party. First Published:

JoJo Siwa Comments On Chris Hughes Timeline
JoJo Siwa is opening up about her "beautiful journey" with Chris Hughes. The two met in April on Celebrity Big Brother UK, and, as viewers saw, quickly became close. JoJo initially described their connection as "platonic" soulmates, but recently things between them turned romantic. "It's been a beautiful journey," JoJo said during a June 6 appearance on the podcast Rosebud With Gyles Brandreth. "The word serendipity is Christopher and I's favorite word now. If you read the definition of it, it's essentially finding love when you're least looking for it. I don't know how the universe aligned for Chris to come into my life." When asked what she finds "special" about him, JoJo replied, "What's not? Absolutely everything is." "It's really interesting with Christopher," she continued. "Initially, the first thing I took in about him was [that] he was a good hugger. I liked his hug, like, it felt like a nice embrace. And he smelled good. I was like, he seemed cool." "It started very much as friends," JoJo stated. "I wasn't looking to fall for him. He wasn't looking to fall for me. We just were having so much fun together. We were having a laugh together. Whenever one of us was down. It was the other one of us that helped." JoJo said, "We had more fun than I've ever had in my life, I had with him in that house, and then leaving the house ... I wasn't sure what was going to happen." All she knew was that there were things in her personal life that she wasn't "happy" with — and that she knew she needed to change. "I had all these realizations in my life [about] things that I wasn't happy [with] and things that I was being OK with that I should have never been OK with, and I'm not happy and so I needed to handle things, and I did very quickly once I got out of the house," she explained, seemingly referring to her relationship with Kath Ebbs. JoJo famously ended their relationship at the show's wrap party, however, she claimed that Chris had "nothing" to do with the breakup. "Over a little bit of time, I realized that I started to feel something for Christopher that I never intended to, but I couldn't not feel," JoJo shared, "and I'm a very, very lucky girl because he was feeling the same thing." Chris appeared to make their relationship public on Sunday when he shared a photo in bed with JoJo. A day later, she confirmed their relationship was no longer "platonic." "It's been a beautiful development, a beautiful connection," she told the Guardian, "and I'm absolutely head over heels for him and he's the same way."

JoJo Siwa wants love with Chris to 'last a lifetime' and plans a romantic tattoo
The Celebrity Big Brother stars met each other on the ITV reality show and struck up a close friendship that has now blossomed into something more JoJo Siwa has revealed just how serious things are getting between her and Love Island alum Chris Hughes, saying she wants their blossoming romance to "last for a lifetime" and admitting that she is even planning a tattoo to commemorate their connection. The pop star and former Dance Moms cast member, 22, met Chris during their time on Celebrity Big Brother in April 2025. What started as a close friendship started to raise eyebrows as the duo got up close and personal on the show, frequently kissing on the cheek and even cuddling in the same bed, and JoJo has now confirmed the pair are officially more than friends. While on the Rosebud podcast with Gyles Brandreth, JoJo gushed about what initially drew her to Chris, saying: "When he first walked in, he was the only person that I knew what they looked like before coming into the show. "I was 'Oh that's the Chris guy'. Initially the first thing that I took in about him was he was a good hugger. I liked his hug. That felt like a nice embrace. And he smelt good." Their connection started off as quite light hearted and mostly involved supporting each other through ups and downs in the Big Brother house, but JoJo admitted that deeper feelings started to develop over time. She shared: "We just kind of bonded right away and it started very much so as friends. I wasn't looking to fall for him. He wasn't looking to fall for me. We just were having so much fun together." JoJo also reflected on a particularly emotional moment in the Big Brother house where she realised just how close she was to Chris, saying: "There was a day – it was Easter – and he was having a really, really rough day... He came out of the diary room and he was like 'I had a stomach ache'. And I looked at him and I was like 'you're not good'. And I just gave him a hug... He really opened up and he wasn't ok, he really wasn't ok. I was able to be there for him." After her return to the US, JoJo admitted she found it hard being apart from Chris. But now she is back in the UK, and thinking long-term. She admitted: "I want Chris to last for a lifetime." JoJo also revealed that she is planning to get a tattoo to commemorate their love story. "The Chris tattoo, I said in Big Brother that I would get this bamboo I want to get two other tattoos from the Big Brother house of memories that I have from in there," she explained. While it is seen as unlucky to get a tattoo of a new partner in case the relationship goes wrong and you are stuck with a daily reminder of them, JoJo is hoping to bypass any consequences by making sure the tattoo is primarily a reminder of her Celeb Big Brother experience. Some fans have questioned whether the relationship is just a PR stunt, but JoJo recently shut those rumours down, telling The Guardian: "It's not platonic any more... I'm absolutely head over heels for him, and he's the same way. Clearly, [the trolls have] never been around us. The happiness in my life just radiates off of me right now."

When I got home it took me maybe three or four weeks to get over the sadness. It was really hard.' After returning to England and seeing Chris again, she revealed how smitten she is, adding: 'I want Chris to last for a lifetime.' She is planning new tattoos to mark her affection for him and fond memories of CBB. She said: 'The Chris tattoo, I said in Big Brother that I would get this bamboo stick. 'And I said that I would get a little bamboo stick tattoo, and I want to get two other tattoos from the Big Brother house of memories that I have from in there. 'I would get that because as much as that relates to Chris, I can deem it not bad luck by placing more on Big Brother.' 4 JoJo said she 'started to feel something for Christopher that I never intended' Credit: itsjojosiwa/Instagram

Rosebud lands $6M to scale its interactive AI journaling app
Journaling app Rosebud has raised $6 million in seed funding as it seeks to further flesh out its app as an AI mentor for self-reflection and personal growth. Rosebud uses AI to analyze your journal entries, identify patterns over time, and provide insights, questions, and guidance. The company says its goal is to help users better understand themselves, build new habits, and track goals, just like a human mentor would. Since its launch, Rosebud says, users have journaled 500 million words and spent more than 30 million minutes on its platform. Rosebud was founded in 2023 by Chrys Bader, a Y Combinator alum and co-founder of Secret; and Sean Dadashi, a UC Berkeley Cognitive Science graduate. The pair met at a men's group, and came up with the idea for Rosebud based on their own experiences with therapy and coaching. 'Everybody is different, and everyone has different languages, not just spoken languages, but different emotional language, different ways of communication,' Bader said in an interview with TechCrunch, explaining that AI allows for a level of personalized coaching and support that wasn't available so far. 'So one person might want validation and a soft approach, whereas somebody might want the really hard, like, 'hey, challenge me, call me out on my BS' approach," he continued. "Part of understanding somebody is using that understanding to best support each individual. That's what AI unlocks; that's never been possible before, to scale that kind of personalized advice or support where every individual could have this wildly different experience than the other, depending on what they shared.' Rosebud says it isn't looking to replace therapists, and instead wants to open up access to quality mentorship. The company plans to use the new funding to expand its team of four with engineering and product talent, and investing more into marketing. The startup also plans to invest more in its proprietary memory technology, and build out the app's features. In addition, Rosebud wants to explore ways to make its AI journal more accessible, possibly through partnerships with schools, businesses and clinics. The seed round was led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with participation from 776, Initialized Capital, Fuel Capital, Avenir, Tim Ferriss, and other investors. Rosebud states that all journal data is encrypted, and that journal entries are never shared with third parties or used to train AI models. Looking forward, Bader and Dadashi envision Rosebud as a mentor, teacher and partner that can develop strategic, long term engagement plans with users. For instance, if someone is about to become a father, Rosebud could create personalized content around that milestone with journaling and other resources. 'What if everybody had something that was looking out for what's best for them? Or something that's helping them become their best self? I think that's the exciting thing that AI enables," Dadashi said. "I benefited so much from having mentorship throughout my life at various times, and I've suffered in times when I haven't had that mentorship. I think what we're seeing is a future where this can be available to everybody in a way that it just wasn't possible for it to be available before. You can have something that's actually thinking about you, actually trying to understand you, and is aligned with who you want to become.' Rosebud's basic journaling features are free to use, but the startup offers a $12.99 monthly subscription that unlocks premium features, such as long-term memory, and voice and call modes. The AI journal is accessible via the web, and on iOS and Android.
