Friends star's unexpected new career after quitting Hollywood
She may not have been one of the core six – but Jane Sibbett will forever be a very familiar face to Friends fans. The actor played Carol Willick, Ross' first wife and the mother of his son, Ben, throughout the series, and her on-screen same-sex wedding to Susan Bunch (Jessica Hecht) made history as the first of its kind on network television. Three decades later, Sibbett's life is dramatically different from her Hollywood days. The former actor, now 62, has largely stepped away from acting and now works as an energy healer, as she explained recently to People magazine. 'It's fascinating because I'm working on the memoir of this whole situation, and one of my mentors had said, 'Go back before the gift.' The gift has been here 10 years now,' Sibbett said about her transition from acting to spirituality. 'When I work with the dancing hands, it's not me. It's source energy coming through me, and so I just feel nothing but bliss and joy and love when I am in this state.' The It Takes Two star described how she had been living with her then-husband, Karl Fink, in Topanga, California, and hosting 'goddess circles' for women when they had a calling to move to Hawaii in 2015. There, they launched a production company together but the relationship ultimately broke down, leaving Sibbett 'broken-hearted', and seeking out a new path. 'He and I had been producing documentaries for healers who don't call themselves healers, and one in particular, [Abdy Electriciteh]. My work with him suddenly became a part of this organisation, because I'm really collaborative, so I wanted everyone to be in on this,' she said. '[This healer] asked me to go from [working on] the documentaries to producing these live events, so it was a perfect synthesis of my belief in the gift of him [and] what he was doing and me coming off of Friends. 'I'm really a shy person, and so for me to step up into a crowd and introduce him all day long to all these people and have a different story, each and every time, I started to feel the way that source energy or God energy was moving through me. 'Then somebody said, 'Hey, you were so good at that. I know somebody else who needs your help,' and so I went to one person, and then I did the next person, and I did the next.' Before long, the former actor found herself embracing her new chapter as an energy healer.

People Share How To Ruin A Date In 10 Seconds
There's nothing worse than getting to know someone over the phone for weeks, only to go on a date with them and find out there are absolutely NOOO good vibes between you. It's this kind of predicament that sparked a conversation in the r/AskReddit subreddit. U/urasianbella asked, "You have 10 seconds to ruin a date. What do you say?" The responses were hilarious and unhinged. Here are a few of them: "Can we make this quick? My mom needs me home for my bath soon." "Gonna have to take a rain check, the wife is going into labor." "I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice Chianti." "'Will you marry me?' —Ross Geller." "Dad?" "Did your mom tell you I dated her five years ago?" "I'm MAGA, but Biden was cool." "Wait, so how tall did you say you were again?" "Apparently, I just have to be myself but a bit faster." "I want a man who takes care of all my bills. 😏" "I told my parents I think you're the one. They're on the way here to meet you." "Let me share my stance on abortion and explain why it's more solid than those who make decisions based on medical degrees or science." "I love you." "My ex and I broke up, but I'm still living at his place. Would you mind dropping me off there?" "I can burp on command, so I'll just let out a loud one or as many as I can in 10 seconds." "I just got out of jail, can you pay our bill?" "I don't really know if I should tell you this, but I'm pregnant." "Your sister is hot, is she dating anyone?" "Who did you vote for?" "By the way, my ex says I'm a great listener. We still talk sometimes." "Say nothing. Lock eyes, and shit myself while maintaining eye contact." "'I'm a virgin,' worked for me many times in my virgin days." "So, I'm a little short of funds tonight, but I'm launching a new crypto over the weekend." "I show up. It won't take 10 seconds." "That's what you chose to wear?" "Can you change my diaper?" "Me and my ex used to go here all the time." "I'd say Andrew Tate is the GOAT." "So, are you going to tell me how your face got so jacked up?" "Boy, you're a lot heavier than you look in your pictures." "Hope you don't mind, but my older sister is monitoring this date." "Do you wanna see my body pillow collection?" And finally, "You look like my ex-girlfriend." If you needed to ruin a date in 10 seconds, what would you say? Let us know in the comments!

David Schwimmer Slams Hollywood Friends For 'Unacceptable' Antisemitism Silence
"Friends" star is taking a stand against antisemitism and calling out Hollywood stars for their silence. The 58-year-old actor, best known for his role as Ross Geller on the iconic sitcom, addressed the issue during a powerful speech at the Anti-Defamation League's Never Is Now conference on Tuesday. David Schwimmer urged fellow celebrities, particularly those who have built their careers by embracing their Jewish identity or portraying Jewish characters on screen, to publicly condemn rising antisemitic sentiments. His message was clear: silence is not an option. "Plenty of people I respect, even some of my heroes in entertainment, music and sports, have chosen to keep a low profile and sit this one out, including some whose careers have been made by leaning into their Jewish identity, and others who have won acclaim for playing Jews onscreen," he began. "Some of them are doing a lot behind the scenes, privately and in their own way, but so many have chosen not to say anything publicly at all." Schwimmer added, "And if I can say something directly to them: I really wish you would. I wish you would stand up. I wish you would speak out, because your voice would be so meaningful to your fans who love you, to your community members who need you, to folks who can use just a little solidarity right now." But he didn't stop there. "No one's asking you to solve the conflict of the Middle East," the actor continued. "Just say that you stand with your Jewish friends, colleagues, and neighbors against hatred and what's happening on our college campuses and in our schools and to Jewish-owned businesses is totally unacceptable." Actress also delivered a powerful message at the Anti-Defamation League's Never is Now conference, where she received the prestigious International Leadership Award. The "Wonder Woman" star took the stage to passionately address the surge in antisemitism and called for the immediate release of hostages held in Gaza. During her 12-minute acceptance speech, Gadot emphasized her pride in being an eighth-generation Jewish Israeli, drawing loud applause from the audience. "With every hostage release we hear new testimonies of the horrors they've been through. Every minute for them is hell. Their lives are in danger and we need them home," Gadot declared, her voice resonating with urgency. Addressing the rise in global antisemitism, Gadot did not mince words. "None of us can ignore the explosion of Jew hatred around the world anymore. We have had enough of Jew hatred we will confront anti-Semitism," she added. "We will call it out, but we will never let it not only defeat us but define us because our love is stronger than their hate." Following her appearance, Gadot took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message with her 133.6 million followers. She reflected on the significance of standing up against hate and emphasized the resilience of the Jewish community. "October 7 was a wake-up call, but it also reminded us of our resilience and unbreakable bond," the Israel Defense Forces veteran, who boasts 133.6M social media followers, wrote. "We must continue to educate, share our stories, and stand up against hate — because love will always be stronger." Schwimmer also recently called on to take action against , now known as Ye, following the rapper's latest antisemitic outbursts on the social media platform X. The 58-year-old actor took to Instagram over the weekend, criticizing Musk for allowing West to maintain a platform despite his repeated history of hate speech. The actor's powerful message came in response to Ye's most recent controversial post, in which he stated, 'I don't like or trust no Jewish person, and this is completely sober with no Hennessy.' In his post, Schwimmer did not hold back, stating: 'We can't stop a deranged bigot from spewing hate-filled, ignorant bile… but we CAN stop giving him a megaphone, Mr. Musk. Kanye West has 32.7 million followers on your platform, X. That's twice as many people than the number of Jews in existence. His sick hate speech results in REAL LIFE violence against Jews. I don't know what's worse, the fact that he identifies as a Nazi (which implies he wants to exterminate ALL marginalized communities including his own) or the fact that there is not sufficient OUTRAGE to remove and ban him from all social media at this point. Silence is complicity." The actor's plea follows Kanye's controversial post, in which he stated, "I don't like or trust no Jewish person, and this is completely sober with no Hennessy."
