Southside Dart services closed over May bank holiday weekend
On May 3, 4 and 5, there will be no Dart services between Grand Canal Dock and Wicklow. Services will only operate between Grand Canal Dock and Howth/Malahide.
Dublin Bus and Go Ahead will accept rail tickets from those affected, and the following Dart stations will be closed: Lansdowne Road, Sandymount, Sydney Parade, Booterstown, Blackrock, Seapoint, Salthill and Monkstown, Dun Laoghaire, Sandycove and Glasthule, Glenageary, Dalkey, Killiney, Shankill, Bray, Greystones and Kilcoole.
Rosslare Intercity services will also operate a bus transfer between Bray and Connolly.
Otherwise a normal timetable will operate on Saturday and Sunday.
Dublin Commuter Coalition shared the news on X, writing: 'For the SIXTH May Bank Holiday weekend in a row, @IrishRail will be shutting off Southside DART services.
'We're pretty sure Southside Dubliners would like to occasionally use the train on a May BH Weekend, maybe pick a different weekend in 2026,' they added.
Irish Rail will often use bank holiday weekends to carry out essential maintenance and line improvement works as services are in less demand without commuters travelling in and out of work.
