Masonville man admits to stabbing pregnant wife, injuring two kids
DELHI, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – The Masonville Man accused of murdering his pregnant wife and stabbing his two children has accepted responsibility for the crimes.
Delaware County District Attorney Shawn Smith announced on Tuesday that 33-year-old Drew Garner changed his plea to guilty on Monday. Garnier previously pleaded not guilty to the incident on September 11, 2024.
On September 4, 2024, Garnier stabbed his wife Samantha Garnier, 29, and their two children in their home on Houck Road in the Town of Masonville. Samantha died as a result, and the children suffered significant injuries.

On March 25, Garnier pleaded guilty to Manslaughter in the First Degree, a Class B Violent Felony. He also pleaded guilty to two counts of Assault in the First Degree, each Class B Violent Felonies. Garnier withdrew all of his pending motions and agreed to waive his right to appeal as part of the plea agreement.
As part of the plea, Garnier will be sentenced to 30 years in state prison, followed by 15 years of post-release supervision.
Garnier was remanded to the custody of the Delaware County Sheriff's Office.
Final sentencing will occur on May 13.
