Police probe shooting, suspicious car fire in Kellyville, Sydney

Three people were inside a home in Sydney's northwest when it was sprayed with bullets in a late-night shooting overnight. Police were called to the home on Nangar Crescent just after 11pm on Wednesday after reports shots had been fired at a two-storey home. Officers arrived to find damage to the front door and windows of the home, and several glass panels smashed. Two men and a woman were inside at the time, but none were not injured. Police are investigating whether a car that was torched in the nearby suburb of Rouse Hill a short time later is connected to the shooting. Firefighters extinguished the fire but the vehicle was completely destroyed. Police are treating the fire as suspicious and are investigating whether the two incidents are linked. 'The fire is being treated as suspicious and initial inquiries have led police to believe the two incidents may be linked,' NSW police said in a statement. Police are also investigating if the house was the intended target of the shooting.
