After Inter Miami loss, Beckham beefs with Minnesota
Ah, David Beckham, the man that you are: soccer star, international heartthrob and…reply guy? State of spat: Minnesota United took to social media to drag Inter Miami after defeating the local powerhouse 4-1 on Saturday — and our favorite Brit soccer player (aside from Roy Kent, of AFC Richmond, of course) did not appreciate it! Zoom in: In an Instagram post Sunday, Minnesota captioned a photo "Pink Phony Club," seemingly alluding to Inter's pink color kits and Chappell Roan's hit song, "Pink Pony Club." No matter that the song is a nod to feeling comfortable in queer spaces and has zero connection to sports. Inter's owner, however, could not disregard what he interpreted as a dig, commenting on the post with a simple message: "Show a little respect, be elegant in triumph." Incredible. Even while angry, he is dignified! Then, Minnesota posted a second photo of a banner that reads "History Over Hype Culture Over Cash," with the words hype and cash in pink. Reality check: Beckham paid $25 million to get Inter Miami into MLS in 2014. Minnesota United FC was founded in 2015.

Brett Goldstein premieres first HBO stand-up special ‘Second Best Night of Your Life'
Brett Goldstein, best known for his role as Roy Kent in the acclaimed series Ted Lasso, debuts his first HBO stand-up special tonight. Titled Brett Goldstein: Second Best Night of Your Life, the special was filmed in New Jersey following a successful tour across the United States and the United Kingdom throughout 2024 and 2025. Goldstein, who also co-created the series Shrinking, showcases a mix of humour touching on love, sex, masculinity, and his affection for Sesame Street characters. While fans are used to his gruff persona on television, the special highlights his sharp wit and unexpected references to Jim Henson's creations, balanced with his trademark use of strong language. The special premieres on HBO and will be available to stream on Max from 10 p.m. ET, 26 April. Those without traditional HBO access can subscribe to Max starting at $9.99 per month with ads. Alternatively, viewers can subscribe via Prime Video or opt for Sling TV's Blue plan with a Max add-on. New subscribers to Max via Sling TV benefit from 50% off their first month and continued monthly discounts. Ted Lasso and Shrinking are also available to stream on Apple TV+, with a one-week free trial offered to new subscribers. Shrinking has been renewed for a third season, and Ted Lasso will return for a fourth, over two years after its last finale.

‘Brett Goldstein: The Second Best Night of Your Life' Review: A Spotty Stand-Up Set on HBO
Among the bigger beneficiaries of the comedy sports series 'Ted Lasso' was Brett Goldstein, who won two Emmys playing the aging footballer Roy Kent, a fellow whose refreshing disdain for empathy, sympathy and congeniality was mixed with a somewhat startling repertoire of vulgarity. ('F—ing brain development,' he once muttered, explaining why his beloved niece wasn't allowed to head the ball.) It was a perfectly realized character. Unlike the one who appears in 'Brett Goldstein: The Second Best Night of Your Life.' Mr. Goldstein is a multi-hyphenate kind of guy, who has loosened his ties to 'Lasso' with enthusiasm. He co-created the series 'Shrinking,' which is one of those comedy shows whose faults are obvious even though you can't stop watching it. (The actor's own appearance as Louis the drunken driver was unnervingly good.) He has made movies with Imogen Poots and Amy Adams, done voices on 'Robot Chicken' and 'Fraggle Rock,' and appeared as Roy on 'Sesame Street' (which plays a part in the HBO special). All of which makes his appearance in the looming season 4 of 'Ted Lasso' seem like more of a 'why not?' than a must-do.
