Princess Sofia of Sweden Pops in Yellow at Royal Christening, Just Like Kate Middleton Did
Princess Sofia of Sweden wore a bright yellow outfit for the christening of her baby daughter, Princess Ines, on June 13
Her royal style called back to a similar shade that Kate Middleton wore for Prince George's christening in 2013
Both royals completed their looks with a chic headpiecePrincess Sofia of Sweden brought the sunshine to her baby's royal baptism, just like Kate Middleton did for Prince George.
Princess Sofia and Prince Carl Philip led the way at the baptism of their daughter Princess Ines, 5 months, on June 13, which doubled as their tenth wedding anniversary. The christening at Drottningholm Palace Chapel in Lovön was a royal family affair attended by King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia as well as Prince Carl Philip's sisters, Crown Princess Victoria and Princess Madeleine, plus their husbands and children.
Princess Sofia, 40, popped in a yellow midi dress with a coordinating headband and heels for the church ceremony, where her baby daughter was baptized by Chief Chaplain Bishop Johan Dalman and Ordinary Chaplain Michael Bjerkhagen, pastor of the Royal Court Assembly.
Sofia's look called back to a similar outfit that Princess Kate wore to the christening of her eldest son, Prince George.
Prince William and Princess Kate, 43, christened George in October 2013 when he was three months old. There, she wore a creamy yellow suit dress by Alexander McQueen with a matching floral fascinator, and the outfit by her bridal gown designer wasn't the only connection to her wedding!
At the private tea following George's christening at the Chapel Royal of St. James's Palace in London, guests were served "christening cake," which was a tier taken from William and Kate's wedding cake in 2011.
Princess Ines was baptized on a special day: her parents' tenth wedding anniversary.
King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia's son married Sofia Hellqvist (a model, reality TV star and yoga instructor before her marriage) at the Royal Chapel of the Royal Palace in Stockholm on June 13, 2015. The couple brought plenty of modern touches to their royal wedding, including a cake made with Pop Rocks and a performance by the Swedish DJ Avicii.
The royal couple (who also go by the titles of Duke and Duchess of Värmland) went on to welcome three sons, Prince Alexander, 9, Prince Gabriel, 7, Prince Julian, 4, and became a family of five when Princess Ines was born on Feb. 7.
Princess Sofia and Prince Carl Philip, 46, shared an unseen reel of photos from their wedding on the eve of their anniversary and Ines' christening, shouting out both family milestones.

"Tomorrow we celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. On June 13, 2015 we got married❤️," they wrote below the Instagram video. "We are so grateful for the joy and warmth that met us that day and has continued throughout these ten years. Now we have four wonderful children and tomorrow we are christening our little Ines."
In a sentimental gesture, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia chose his niece and goddaughter Princess Estelle as one of Ines' five godparents.
The tribute is a special royal role for Crown Princess Victoria's 13-year-old daughter, who was all smiles as she posed for photo with her family after the baptism.
