HM King's visit to UK bolsters bilateral ties
The Cabinet reaffirmed the significance of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's visit to the United Kingdom to attend the Royal Windsor Horse Show, as well as the horse races sponsored by the Kingdom of Bahrain. It highlighted the importance of HM the King's meeting with His Majesty King Charles III of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Head of the Commonwealth. Weekly Cabinet Chaired by His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, the Deputy Prime Minister, yesterday at Gudaibiya Palace, the weekly Cabinet also noted the attendance of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, at the Royal Windsor Horse Show alongside HM King Charles III. The Cabinet praised the deep-rooted and enduring ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the UK. It highlighted the efforts of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Captain of the Royal Endurance Team, for his leadership in advancing equestrian sports in Bahrain, a sport cherished across the Kingdom. The Cabinet opened the meeting by commending HM King Hamad's address at the Gulf Cooperation Council–United States (GCC-US) Summit held in Riyadh, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which was attended by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. It praised Saudi Arabia for successfully hosting the Summit, led by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and supported by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. In this regard, the Cabinet emphasised Saudi Arabia's prominent role in promoting investment, advancing peaceful initiatives and fostering regional stability. The Cabinet underscored the depth of the GCC-US strategic partnership, led by President Donald Trump.

Speaking on the occasion of the team's participation in the prestigious Windsor Horse Festival in the United Kingdom, HH Shaikh Nasser highlighted that HM the King's close follow-up of the Royal Endurance Team's involvement reflects his unwavering encouragement and visionary leadership in ensuring Bahrain's enduring success in European equestrian forums. This year's participation notably included a number of young riders, symbolizing the Kingdom's investment in the next generation of champions. The event was also attended by HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, alongside HH Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Supreme Council for Environment and Deputy Chairman of the High Authority of Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club. HH Shaikh Nasser further emphasized that the team achieved several goals set by both the technical and administrative staff. Emirati riders Saif Ahmed Al Mazrouei and Saeed Hamoud Al Khayari clinched first and second place respectively in the 160 km race, while Bahrain's Fahad Hilal Al Khateri secured third place. These results reflect the growing excellence of Bahraini riders and reaffirm the Kingdom's position in international endurance racing.

HM King Hamad attends endurance race at Windsor Castle
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa yesterday attended the endurance race competitions at Windsor Great Park, United Kingdom, an event annually sponsored by the Kingdom of Bahrain. The prestigious event was held in the presence of Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, alongside a number of British equestrian enthusiasts. Upon arrival, His Majesty was warmly welcomed by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and Commander of the Royal Endurance Team; His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, President of the General Sports Authority and the Bahrain Olympic Committee; and His Highness Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Authority of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club. HM King met with endurance riders from both Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, expressing his pride in their participation and performance. King Hamad praised HH Shaikh Nasser's leadership in advancing endurance racing and commended the Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation for promoting the sport and representing Bahrain internationally. HM highlighted Bahraini riders' global success as proof of their skill and dedication in raising Bahrain's sporting profile. Following the race, HM King hosted a luncheon in honour of guests and invitees. His Majesty is currently in the UK for the Royal Windsor Horse Show. HM was officially welcomed by Lord Claude Moraes, representative of His Majesty King Charles III, as well as Bahrain's Ambassador to the UK, Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, and members of the embassy. King Hamad is accompanied on this visit by his sons and an official delegation. Australia, Bahrain, Czech Republic, Spain, France, India, Qatar, Sweden, UAE and Uruguay were represented on the start line, along with 12 British riders as the event kicked off.
