Pune: A software engineer from Hadapsar lost Rs11.73 lakh in an online fraud between June and July last year. Cybercrooks obtained his credit card details under the pretext of updating his address and duped him. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now The victim filed a complaint with the cyber police. After preliminary investigations, a case was registered with the Hadapsar police. He was expecting some documents from his UK-based relatives by post. "He received a message from the 'India Post' for updating address details on June 27 last year. The message also stated that charges for updating the details was of Rs25," a police officer said. He said the techie filled in the necessary details and made the payment of Rs 25 through his credit card the same day. "When he did not get the parcel, he went to the post office on July 1 and learnt that it was a fraudulent link. The postal department never shared such links," he said. The officer said the techie received three messages from his bank about transactions worth Rs11.73 lakh after 10 days. "He approached his bank and also the police. Our investigations are on," the officer said.

Two work orders for the project were awarded in September and October last year with a 10-month project deadline."Currently, the pool and side walls work is underway, and the work is likely to be completed by September or October," said NIT NIT was earlier planning to complete the work by early August, but it is likely to be delayed. The project cost was Rs17.34 crore, but NIT awarded the work order at 22.15% below.
