Monongalia County Sheriff's Office sheds more light on motorcycle accident

May 30—MORGANTOWN — A motorcycle rider involved in Thursday's accident on the Mileground has life-threatening injuries, according to the Monongalia County Sheriff's Department. At 2:10 p.m. Thursday, deputies responded to the accident at the intersection of Mileground and Hartman Run roads. A press release states a Nissan Xterra was heading onto Hartman Run Road while a Yamaha motorcycle was traveling toward Easton Hill. The two vehicles collided head-on, throwing the rider off the motorcycle. The rider was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital by Monongalia County EMS with life-threatening injuries, the release states. The identity of the rider has not been released. Due to the severity of the accident, the sheriff's department crash reconstruction team was called to the scene to assist in the ongoing investigation.

WALLACE, (WBOY) — One person was taken to the hospital Monday afternoon following an ATV crash near Wallace. Officials with the Harrison County 911 Center told 12 News that at 4:16 p.m., crews were alerted to a vehicle accident with injuries and entrapment near the 7900 block of Jones Run Road in rural Harrison County. Mary Lou Retton arrested for DUI in West Virginia Details surrounding the crash are limited, but officials said an ATV-type vehicle was involved and that the West Virginia Medical Examiner was dispatched to the scene. Crews had cleared the scene as of 7:30 p.m. One person was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital for treatment. Crews with the Folsom Volunteer Fire Department, Lumberport Volunteer Fire Department, Wallace Volunteer Fire Department, Harrison County EMS, Taylor County EMS and the Harrison County Sheriff's Office all responded to the scene. Suspect in fatal Ritchie County shooting released from hospital

PENNSBORO, (WBOY) — A woman who has been named a suspect in a shooting incident that left a man dead in rural Ritchie County last month has been released from the hospital, but charges have yet to be filed. According to West Virginia State Police Director of Public Relations Cpt. Leslie T. Goldie, the prosecuting attorney is still reviewing the case to determine if charges are warranted and what those charges may be. Man charged after allegedly making threats to 'snipe' children at Upshur County school on Discord The woman was named a suspect in the case following a shooting incident on April 11 near Farleys Run Road in the Pennsboro area. Troopers who arrived on the scene found a man dead as well as the woman in question, who was unresponsive at the time and was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
