Don't forget! Early voting for Bay County runoff elections ends May 16; Election Day is May 20
PANAMA CITY — The deadline is quickly approaching for residents to vote early in two local runoff elections.
According to the Bay County Supervisor of Elections Office website, early voting in Bay County ends May 16 for two runoff elections associated with the 2025 municipal elections on April 22. They are for Ward 1 commissioner of Panama City and Seat 4 commissioner of Lynn Haven.
Since no candidate in either race received at least 50% plus one of the votes, runoff elections are required.

Judy Tinder and Jeff Snyder are competing in the runoff race for Seat 4 commissioner of Lynn Haven. In the April 22 election, Tinder secured 1,413 votes, or about 49%, while Snyder secured 796 votes, or almost 28%.
As of about 11:30 a.m. May 15, the Bay County Supervisor of Elections Office' website noted that 1,735 people already had participated in early voting for the runoff races. Of those, 1,230 voted early in person, and 504 voted early by mail.
The early votes by that point were cast by 1,156 Republicans, 375 Democrats, 173 voters not affiliated with a party and 31 voters categorized as "other."
