IRCON secures Rs 187 crore contract for Rural Industrial Park in Thiruvananthapuram
IRCON International Limited recently informed exchanges that the company secured a significant contract worth INR 187 crore for the construction of a Dedicated Rural Industrial Park in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The contract was awarded by Kerala State IT Infrastructure Ltd. (KSITIL), marking an important milestone for the company in the region.
This project will involve the development of an industrial park specifically designed to boost rural industrialization in the Thiruvananthapuram district. The work will be carried out under a works contract, based on item rates. IRCON, a prominent name in infrastructure development, will oversee the entire construction process, which is expected to be completed within 30 months.
Being awarded by a domestic entity, this contract reflects the growing emphasis on developing sustainable rural industries in Kerala. As the project progresses, it is expected to contribute significantly to the region's economic development, improving both industrial facilities and local infrastructure.
In the meantime, IRCON International Ltd. shares closed today at ₹158.48, showing a slight dip from the opening price of ₹160.99. The stock reached a high of ₹160.99 and a low of ₹157.00 during the day. Over the past 52 weeks, IRCON's shares have fluctuated, hitting a high of ₹351.60 and a low of ₹134.24.
