Ryan Libbey calls out thieves after chasing two men who tried to steal his bike from his home as he speaks out on 'disgusting' theft in London

Ryan Libbey has called out thieves after he revealed he caught two men trying to steal his bike outside his house on Thursday. The podcast host, who is engaged to Louise Thompson, explained he realised the dogs were sniffing around the front door so he went to investigate and found two men who had jumped the fence and made it into his front garden area. Taking to his Instagram Story he told fans: 'Guys this is pretty scary but I was sat inside having lunch and the dogs were sniffing around the front door which I didn't think much of, but I called them and they didn't come. 'So I went to scoop them up and I thought I'll just open the door to check there's no postman there and I opened the door to find two blokes taking my bicycle apart. 'As soon as I opened the door they started to scurry of, I managed to catch them and snatch my bike and my wheel off them, although they still have my f*****g axle which puts the two parts together.' The podcast host explained he realised the dogs were sniffing around the front door so he went to investigate and found two men who had jumped the fence and made it into his front garden Ryan revealed that as well as managing to get parts of his own bike back, he also managed to get another bike they had taken. Sharing a snap of it he told fans: 'I also managed to get this bike off them. So this belongs to someone in the Fulham area, so if you recognise it I've got it for you.' Ryan also managed to get the thieves identities clearly on his CCTV as he expressed his frustrations at the 'disgusting behaviour' of thieves in London. He continued: 'I do have their faces that I have caught on my camera so I am actually going to post their face on this because at this point I am so fed up with thieves in London. 'If you have got bicycles outside your house, or prams, I have had prams stolen from outside here before. These things aren't cheap, so it's just disgusting behaviour. 'So I am going to post their face. There's two of them, they are pretty short 5ft 5 Asian dudes, tracksuits, vests, caps and when I let them go they scurried off towards Wandsworth bridge away from the Chelsea area. 'So yeah, just thought I would share it with you and if this is your bike, let me know.' It comes after Bridgerton star Genevieve Chenneour who fought off a phone thief revealed he threatened to stab her in a 'life or death' brawl that left her terrified to leave the house - and live in London. Ryan also managed to get the thieves identities clearly on his CCTV as he expressed his frustrations at the 'disgusting behaviour' of thieves in London The actress, 27, bravely defended herself after Zacariah Boulares, 18, snuck up behind her and grabbed her phone in Joe & The Juice on Kensington High Street, west London, on February 8. MailOnline exclusively revealed on Wednesday CCTV footage of the shocking attack on the rising star at the upmarket coffee shop. Appearing on This Morning on Thursday, she explained the whole incident lasted around five minutes in total, with her pinning her attacker to the floor for much of that time. Genevieve explained: 'It kind of went round the corner and it turned into a full-on scrap with two people [Boulares and his accomplice]. 'And I was threatened with being stabbed so it became a real matter, in my mind, of life and death. 'So, I did things like, I remember kicking him back with my leg to create space in case he had a weapon on him… It was just a life-changing, crazy moment.' The star admitted the horrifying experience left her terrified in the immediate aftermath: 'I didn't want to go outside. 'I mean as a woman we already, I think, have our wits about us around strangers and random men. 'So, to have this happen to me while dealing with that base level that a lot of women have, just made me quite agoraphobic. Leaving the house was really hard.' 'I've been here for seven years, working, auditioning, acting, just to kind of have a bit of a reset because it really did affect my confidence. 'Going out the first time [after the incident], I remember standing in a queue and just my hands were sweating and I was so vigilant and aware of my surroundings. 'So yeah, just kind of trying to feel calmer.' The clip shows her bravely confronting her attacker: 'I don't know if I would advise anybody else to do it. 'I think I have very quick reactions, thanks to having three brothers growing up and I'm an aviated carded boxer. 'I think it just was an instinct, I also do a lot of fight training for work and acting… 'I thought that was a normal reaction and I read all the comments [online] and realised, actually, a lot of people would just let them take the phone.'

Ryan Libbey reveals Louise Thompson could only spend five minutes a day with newborn Leo while on 'terrifying' suicide watch after 'mentally checking out'

Louise Thompson 's fiancé Ryan Libbey has revealed heartbreaking details of her battle with postpartum depression, following the birth of their son Leo. Louise, 35, nearly died when she welcomed Leo-Hunter in 2021 after a emergency caesarean in which she lost '12 and a half litres of blood.' She went on to suffer with PTSD and post-natal anxiety due to her near-death experience and has since then been diagnosed with Lupus, Asherman's syndrome, suffered a second Hemorrhage, and has also had a stoma bag fitted. Louise was also placed on suicide watch due to being 'mentally checked out' following the traumatic birth. Speaking on the latest episode of Giovanna Fletcher's Happy Mum Happy Baby podcast on Tuesday, Ryan, 34, shared: 'We even had a crisis-management team come very regularly, which - to be really honest with you - was a suicide watch because she was so mentally checked out. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'Which is absolutely terrifying, and I don't think I've quite processed that one. I think that was something that I wanted to reframe straight away. 'It's really, really sad to know that Louise was hurting like that and she couldn't, and I suppose I didn't really understand what was happening.' He continued: 'I could understand that she was in shock and that she was completely reduced to a version of herself that was... she was just surrendering to the whole thing. 'She'd lost the fight, and I could understand it because she would have been exhausted and her body would have been looking and feeling so different. 'And to lie on the sofa with a vacant look on your face for days and weeks, I could understand that, but I couldn't understand that we were in the place of potential: she wants to end her life, and she doesn't really recognise or care for the baby in the room. At the time, I couldn't quite understand that.' Elsewhere during the interview, Ryan revealed that he unwittingly had resentment towards his partner Louise after the birth. Giovanna began: 'You had Louise not being the mum that you thought she would be because of everything she was going through.' Ryan explained: 'It was 10 or 11 months into it and I had my family say that I wasn't ok. I had sunken into a state of depression without even knowing it. 'My days were incredibly long and I'd sunken into a state of survival. When Louise what at home there was a lot of activity going on with her health.' He added: 'I felt very helpless, that I couldn't fix the situation. I needed to remove myself because I was full of resentment towards the whole thing. 'That's when I jumped in a taxi and just went to the airport and picked a flight. I ended up in Budapest and I didn't do what I needed it to so I hopped on a flight to Barcelona and just put my feet in the sand. 'That was when I decided to reach out and go to therapy for the first time. I never had any medical people step in and say that I might need something. 'It didn't feel right and I couldn't shake off the feeling that I had perhaps been a bit of a coward by doing that.' It comes after Ryan admitted he struggles with being a 'modern-age dad' who earns less than his fiancee, Louise. The Made in Chelsea alum also revealed his fears over one day becoming a stay-at-home-father as work dries up. The former TV star, who also works as a personal trainer, expressed his concerns on the latest episode of the couple's podcast, He Said, She Said . 'I'm down in the weeds and not feeling particularly grateful for who I am or what I'm doing,' he explained. 'There are days when it's like, I'm really not getting this right. It's not moving and it's not progressing how I would want it to. 'It's been a very quiet start to 2025 on the work front for Ryan - and it's panicked me.' Ryan, who lives in London with Louise and their son, Leo, claimed part of the problem is not knowing what career choices to make. He currently describes himself as a digital marketer and podcaster who 'works with brands'. Speaking to Louise he added: 'I don't wrestle with the fact that you're the breadwinner - I think it's wonderful and I'll support you - but if I can be as relaxed about that situation... me being a slightly modern-age dad... I think that's the bracket I'm falling into. 'There have been days over the past few weeks where I'm like, I might just fold! I might just be the stay-at-home dad and I might just do the cooking and the food shopping and the guy who pretends he can do DIY and hammers things all day. 'Because Louise is actually earning more than I ever will, and she's pretty bloody good at the whole business side of things, so why don't I let her do that and I'll do the other stuff. 'But then I think, I've got lots to offer as well. I just need to figure out how to press go.' POSTPARTUM DEPRESSION Postpartum depression occurs after the birth of a baby. It affects up to 20 per cent of women in the US and 10 per cent in the UK. This is different from baby blues, which commonly include mood swings, crying spells, anxiety and difficulty sleeping. This is a more severe, long-lasting form of depression. There may be problems of bonding with the baby, enjoying motherhood, periods of anger or rage, sadness and crying. There may be the constant feeling of being overwhelmed or possible thoughts of harming yourself or running away and escaping. PPD is one disorder under the group of illnesses called perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.

Louise Thompson could only spend five minutes a day with newborn while on ‘terrifying' suicide watch, reveals fiance

LOUISE Thompson's fiancé Ryan Libbey has revealed devastating details of her battle with postpartum depression. Former Made In Chelsea star Louise, 35, was placed on suicide watch as she grappled with her mental health following a traumatic 36-hour labour that nearly killed her. 4 She struggled to form a relationship with her newborn son, Leo, in the early period of motherhood, so much so that if she spent five minutes with him that was deemed a success. The complicated labour left Leo in great distress and he suffered respiratory issues linked to meconium, a bowel obstruction in newborns. Personal trainer Ryan, 34, told Giovanna Fletcher's Happy Mum Happy Baby podcast: "We even had a crisis-management team come very regularly, which—to be really honest with you—was a suicide watch because she was so mentally checked out. "Which is absolutely terrifying, and I don't think I've quite processed that one. I think that was something that I wanted to reframe straight away. "It's really, really sad to know that Louise was hurting like that and she couldn't—and I suppose, I suppose I didn't really understand what was happening." He continued: "I could understand that she was in shock and that she was completely reduced to a version of herself that was... she was just surrendering to the whole thing. "She'd lost the fight, and I could understand it because she would have been exhausted and her body would have been looking and feeling so different. "And to lie on the sofa with a vacant look on your face for days and weeks, I could understand that, but I couldn't understand that we were in the place of potential: she wants to end her life, and she doesn't really recognise or care for the baby in the room. At the time, I couldn't quite understand that." To make matters worse the couple felt like they'd been forgotten by hospital staff and left to fend for themselves. When they did receive visits from doctors Ryan claimed it was anything but sensitive and they felt rushed to push forward with parenthood with little regard for the trauma they'd been through. Louise Thompson's fiance reveals harrowing moment she was 'ten minutes from death' haemorrhaging blood 'like someone turned a hose on' In a candid admission, Ryan said he even felt resentment towards Louise due to the baby dream he'd harboured not playing out as he expected combined with an awareness that Leo craved his mum. There was no let up in the months that followed as Louise suffered two terrifying haemorrhages at home which Ryan likened to a 'murder scene'. The second major bleed followed a procedure to reinstate the integrity of the womb. He said: "I arrived at home to see her being loaded into an ambulance outside the house. I went down to the downstairs bathroom where it happened, and it was yet again just a murder scene." Louise's body and mental fortitude was tested again when she had her entire large intestine removed after being diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. She was fitted with a stoma bag, which causes the colon and rectum to become inflamed. Fortunately, Louise has now got a handle on her wellbeing, though she doesn't pretend everything is perfect. The setbacks only make her more of an inspirational figure and she documented her incredible story in last year's Lucky: Learning to Live Again. 4 4 Help for mental health If you, or anyone you know, needs help dealing with mental health problems, the following organisations provide support.
