Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka slams BRS, says ‘plunderers are coming together to bring back the rule of feudal lords'

Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Saturday trained his guns on the previous BRS rulers accusing them of looting the State's wealth for nearly ten years, leaving behind a debt of ₹7 lakh crore. 'Plunderers are coming together to disgrace the people's government and bring back the rule of the feudal lords,' he alleged while addressing a public meeting in Aswaraopet of Bhadradri Kothagudem district on Saturday. He laid the foundation stones for five new 33/11 kV sub-stations and other development works worth around ₹40 crore in Aswaraopet constituency earlier in the day. Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Khammam MP R. Raghuram Reddy and Aswaraopet MLA Jare Adinarayana among others were present. In a hard-hitting speech, Mr. Vikramarka said, 'Those who ruled for ten years sucked life out of the people like leeches. The people voted for Indiramma's government to escape from that oppressive rule.' Mr. Vikramarka flayed the previous BRS rulers for failing to deliver on their promises like double-bedroom houses, three acres of land for Dalits, jobs for each household and KG-to-PG free education despite being in power for 10 years. 'Even when advised not to, former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao proceeded with the ₹1 lakh crore Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project, which eventually collapsed,' he alleged. He said, 'Those responsible for bankrupting the State are now pretending to speak about people's welfare and spreading false propaganda against the Congress government which is striving relentlessly for the betterment of the State under the aegis of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.' 'People should be wary of such elements which are indulging in misinformation campaign,' he added. 'We have not discontinued any welfare schemes initiated by the previous BRS government including Kalyana Lakshmi. Instead, our people's government added ₹2,000 more towards annual financial support to farmers under the Rythu Barosa scheme,' he asserted. He said the Congress government is all set to introduce the Indira Solar Giri Water Development Scheme for the benefit of tribal farmers in the State. The scheme will be launched by the Chief Minister at Chenchu Colony in Achampet of Nagarkurnool district on May 18.
