Bicyclist dies after hit-and-run in Robeson County
ROBESON COUNTY, N.C. (WBTW) — One woman was arrested after a bicyclist died in a hit-and-run Saturday morning in Robeson County, the North Carolina State Highway Patrol said.
The incident happened around 7:20 a.m. on Highway 72 in the Jamestown community, First Sgt. S. B. Lewis said.
Porcia Locklear was charged with felony hit-and-run, felony death by vehicle, and driving while impaired.
Locklear was driving a white Nissan Pathfinder when she ran off the road, hit the bicyclist, and didn't stop after the incident, Lewis said.
She is being held in the Robeson County Detention Center. Count on News13 for updates.
