The Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities (RACA) participated in a specialised seminar held as part of the Gulf Non-Profit Sector Forum, aimed at strengthening collaboration with the government and private sectors. The forum took place on the sidelines of the International Non-Profit Sector Exhibition (IENA) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
During the seminar, Rashid Mohammed Al Nuaimi, director of Licensing and Support at RACA, shared Qatar's experience in organising charitable work. He emphasised RACA's pivotal role in establishing regulatory frameworks that ensure governance and transparency, while supporting charitable entities in adhering to national and international standards. This, he noted, enhances the sector's effectiveness and safeguards its humanitarian and developmental objectives.
Al Nuaimi also highlighted the 'SANADY' platform, which coordinates domestic aid and serves as a leading model for unifying charitable efforts and strengthening coordination among relevant entities. The platform contributes to delivering impactful and transparent development outcomes, aligned with clearly defined priorities that respond to community needs.
He further explained that RACA has adopted an integrated system for licensing, monitoring, and support—enabling charitable organisations to operate within a well-regulated framework. This system fosters trust with local and international partners, positively influencing performance quality and ensuring the sustainability of charitable initiatives.
In closing, Al Nuaimi expressed appreciation for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's efforts in organising this significant forum. He affirmed Qatar's commitment to enhancing cooperation with brotherly and friendly entities in this vital sector and recognised the forum as a valuable platform for exchanging experiences and showcasing best practices in the non-profit field.
