Versa, a global leader in Universal Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), has announced a technology partnership with OPSWAT. OPSWAT is known for its critical infrastructure protection (CIP) cybersecurity solutions.
This collaboration aims to enhance the real-time device security monitoring capabilities of the Versa SASE Client.
Versa's SASE Client integrates connectivity and security. It provides real-time best-path routing and enforces dynamic security policies. These policies are based on Zero Trust principles and continuously assessed device security posture.
As part of the partnership, Versa has integrated OPSWAT's MetaDefender Endpoint Security SDK into its SASE Client. This allows IT teams to access real-time device posture data. They can now automatically validate endpoints and enforce Zero Trust policies. This approach helps reduce the potential attack surface.
Anusha Vaidyanathan, Senior Director of Product Management at Versa, said the partnership supports secure access for remote workers and BYOD users. She explained that the joint solution enables IT teams to verify device security and compliance before granting access to sensitive company systems.
• The SDK enhances endpoint validation and compliance.
• It supports secure access in hybrid and cloud environments.
Hamid Karimi, Vice President of Technical Alliances and OEM at OPSWAT, reported that the partnership reflects OPSWAT's commitment to securing critical infrastructure. He added that integrating their endpoint compliance capabilities into Versa's Universal SASE Platform offers stronger defense against modern cyber threats.
OPSWAT's MetaDefender SDK is a cross-platform, modular framework. It serves as a development platform for advanced endpoint security software. The Device Compliance Module enables developers to add features like device posture checks and unwanted application detection.
The SDK supports a wide range of use cases, including:
• Secure remote access• Network access control• Remote support
• Compliance enforcement
This joint solution by Versa and OPSWAT aims to offer better protection for users, devices, and network environments in today's evolving threat landscape.
