A SCOTLAND-bound flight has been forced to make a diversion.
The Jet2 aircraft was flying from Malta to Edinburgh Airport when it made an unexpected landing.

A Jet2 flight between Malta and Edinburgh was unexpectedly diverted

The aircraft left the Mediterranean island country around 11.45am yesterday.
It was due to arrive in Edinburgh around 2.45pm but it was diverted to Switzerland.
The plane touched down 785 miles away in Geneva at 1.06pm and did not depart the city until 9.20pm.
The flight landed in the Scots capital around 10.20pm, nearly eight hours late.
The reason behind the diversion are not currently known.
