Tacoma police shoot, kill carjacking suspect Saturday afternoon
TACOMA, Wash. - Officers with the Tacoma Police Department were involved in a shooting on Saturday afternoon.
Right now, law enforcement remains at the site in Puyallup, and say the situation is still unfolding.
Police say they shot a man suspected of several carjackings on Apr. 5. The man, who has not been identified yet, has since died.
The initial incident happened off Pacific Avenue in unincorporated Pierce County just around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Officers say the suspect fled and the ensuing chase ended when law enforcement deployed spike strips to stop the man.
