SHAUN MURPHY left fans stunned after completing an incredible trick shot during his World Snooker Championship first-round match against Daniel Wells. The Magician had already won the sixth frame with a century but pushed on to clear the table. 1 He teed himself up perfectly to sink the final black with a relatively simple shot into the corner pocket. But rather than playing it safe, Murphy bounced his attempt off each side of the table before nailing the shot and completing the clearance. It sparked a huge reaction from the crowd at the Crucible in Sheffield, with some even giving him a standing ovation. The 42-year-old then gave a wry smile as he sat back down in his chair. Fans on social media were also impressed with the feat, with one person writing: "Shaun Murphy is on FIRE!! Amazing!" Another said: "Shaun Murphy is taking the pi**! 138 break and all around the table for the final black." While a third even joked that he should already be crowned World Champion, commenting: "Congrats to Shaun Murphy for winning the 2025 Snooker World Championship." The Magician's trick shot saw him take a 5-1 lead in the first round match. He subsequently took a commanding 7-2 lead at the end of the morning session. The match will resume on Wednesday morning at 10am.
