SimplyGo unveils SG60 ez-link cards and charms celebrating Singapore's icons
To mark SG60, SimplyGo users will be able to get their hands on a series of collectible ez-link cards and charms that honour Singapore's places and people from June 25. The curated designs pay tribute to Singapore's hawker culture, nostalgic landmarks and national icons like the Merlion, said account-based system SimplyGo in a statement on June 23. The SG60 series features four distinct collections brought to life through collaborations with local creators and communities. For instance, the collection of Mochiak & AhWoo SG60 SimplyGo EZ-Link charms features familiar scenes, such as the Toa Payoh dragon playground and a bustling hawker centre. These will be available from July 2. From July 22, a Rainbow Unicorn ez-link card depicting a fantasy world will also go on sale. The card showcases artwork created by a six-year-old beneficiary of the Children's Cancer Foundation. The ez-links cards cost $10 each and come with a load value of $5. Local artist Lee Kow Fong, also known as Ah Guo, designed a set of ez-link cards titled the Ah Guo Illustration - Kiddo's SG60. One features a mama shop while the other showcases an illustration of a merlion. A set of two ez-link cards costs $16.60 and does not have any load value. "SG60 is a time to reflect on what unites us as a nation and how far we have come," said Mr Tan Kim Hong, chief executive of SimplyGo.
