Special Olympics Bharat hosted a special screening of the film 'Sitaare Zameen Par,' reaffirming its commitment to promoting inclusion and celebrating the abilities of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
The event was graced by the presence of the movie's producer and lead actor Aamir Khan, lead actress Genelia Deshmukh, director RS Prasanna, and other co-stars.
After the screening, Aamir Khan spent valuable time interacting with the athletes. The movie aims to promote the inclusion of individuals with intellectual disabilities in the world of sports, resonating with the historic performances delivered by SO Bharat athletes at the World Games in recent years.

Dr Mallika Nadda, president of Special Olympics Bharat, highlighted the importance of such events in fostering a more inclusive society and said, 'The screening of 'Sitaare Zameen Par' is more than just watching a film; it is an experience that reinforces our belief in the boundless capabilities of our Special Olympics Bharat athletes."

An official remake of the 2018 Spanish film 'Champions,' 'Sitaare Zameen Par' was released in cinema halls on June 20.
On International Olympic Day, Special Olympics Bharat, in collaboration with the BVL Brahmaputra Volleyball League, held a special training session for athletes with disabilities at Mrinal Jyoti Rehabilitation Centre.

Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par is making the right moves at the box office. After its theatrical release last Friday, the film has managed to cross the Rs 66 crore mark in just four days, overtaking the India haul of Aamir's last film, Laal Singh Chaddha (Rs 61.36 crore).
On Sunday alone, it collected Rs 27.25 crore. However, as per Sacnilk, the film witnessed a drop on Monday, earning only Rs 8.27 crore. Despite the dip, the total India earnings now stand at Rs 66.42 crore.
