K-Wings Acquire Rookie Forward From Atlanta
Simon Boyko is on his way to Kalamazoo.
The Wings announced on Friday that the rookie forward has been acquired from Atlanta for future considerations.
The 5-foot-10 right-shooting forward was named SPHL Rookie of the Year last season for Fayetteville. He scored 56 points (27-28-56) in 2023-24.
The 26-year-old Boyko played four seasons of NCAA hockey for the University of Vermont (2019-21) and Aurora (21-23), along with suiting up for three ECHL teams (Norfolk, Rapid City, Atlanta) for a combined 46 games from 2022-25, scoring 18 points (10-8-18).
The K-Wings are back in action at home Friday as they host the Iowa Heartlanders. Puck drop is set for 7 Pm ET.
