Solana Could Hit $275 by Year-End, $500 by 2029-End: Standard Chartered

Solana SOL is expected to underperform ether ETH over the next two to three years, investment bank Standard Chartered (STAN) said in a research report Tuesday initiating coverage of the cryptocurrency. The bank expects the ether/solana ratio to increase from 14 currently to 17 by the end of 2027, before falling off again. For solana, "this translates into forecasts of $275 at end-2025 (from the current level of $175) and $500 by end-2029," wrote Geoff Kendrick, head of digital assets research at Standard Chartered. Solana is the blockchain of choice for memecoin trading, but due to the volatility associated with the sector the token trades cheap relative to its application revenue, the bank noted. Memecoin activity on Solana also appears to be "past its peak," the bank said, adding that "declining usage and trading 'cheap' are not a good mix." The cryptocurrency should dominate future sectors with high volumes, low fees and fast transaction times, such as financial and traditional consumer apps, but reaching scale in these areas could take years, the report added.

Zodiac Signs as K-Pop Fandom Stereotypes

K-Pop fandoms: a world of dedication, inside jokes, and enough passion to power a small city. If the zodiac signs were K-Pop stans, they'd slide into these roles with uncanny accuracy: Aries – The Fanwar General: Charging headfirst into online battles like it's the final round of a survival show. Expect all-caps declarations of " STAN TALENT!" and a willingness to throw down (verbally, of course) for their faves. Energy level: perpetually high. Loyalty level: unbreakable. Taurus – The Photocard Collector: Possesses multiple versions of every album, because that rare photocard will be theirs. Calmly debates their bias's merits while meticulously browsing resale sites for coveted merch. Their collection? A shrine. Gemini – The Multi-Platform Mastermind: One minute they're sharing a flawless fancam, the next it's a detailed analysis of the group's astrological compatibility. They thrive on variety, know everyone's schedule by heart, and probably run a meme account on the side. Cancer – The Fandom Mom: Not an actual member, but the emotional anchor for everyone. Tears flow freely during every VLive, and comeback day involves homemade treats and a well-researched presentation on the members' need for rest and hydration. Leo – The Delusional Romantic: Fully convinced they share a secret, cosmic connection with their bias. Knows it's probably not real, but… what if? Their "He looked right at me!" comment under a concert video from across the globe is a testament to hope. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like פורטו קוראת לישראלים: דירות להשקעה ב-100 אלף אירו Channel22 Undo Virgo – The Data Analyst: Tracks every sale, stream, award nomination, and even their bias's rumored dietary preferences. Probably a moderator on a dedicated subreddit and secretly crafts the witty captions for the fan account. Libra – The Aesthetic Visionary: Their social media feeds are works of art. Moodboards? Museum-worthy. Story highlights? Could grace the pages of Vogue. They might not engage in messy fanwars, but their soft edits convert hearts with effortless grace. Scorpio – The Deep-Dive Investigator: Knows the trainee backstories, the messy disbandments of previous groups, and has a digital archive of pre-debut drama. Observes fanwars from the shadows, ready to drop a truth bomb at the most dramatic moment. Sagittarius – The Global Organizer: Coordinates banner projects in Seoul and coffee trucks in international locations. Manages a chaotic network of group chats and would happily cross continents for a glimpse of a fan sign, jetlag be damned. Capricorn – The Chart Topper: The first to refresh Melon, Spotify, and Billboard charts. Speaks fluently in streaming numbers and views every milestone as a major stock market victory: "100 million views in 24 hours. Iconic." Aquarius – The Lore Master: That one fan with a sprawling theory video explaining the intricate storyline behind a fifteen-second teaser. Their wild predictions are often eerily accurate, having likely deciphered the plot before the official announcement. Pisces – The Emotional Sponge: Sobs openly at airport photos and writes fanfiction that leaves everyone emotionally devastated. Dreams of a hug from their bias but would probably faint into oblivion if they ever encountered them in real life. Standard Chartered Will Provide Banking Services for FalconX to Enhance Cross-Border Settlement

The San Mateo, California-headquartered broker will access a range of currency pairs, helping to enhance the speed and reliability of its cross-border settlement, FalconX said in an announcement on Wednesday. Bitcoin $120K Target for 2Q May Be Too Conservative: Standard Chartered

Bitcoin (BTC) is poised to hit a new record high, with investment flows now the dominant market driver, according to Standard Chartered (STAN). U.S. spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have seen $5.3 billion in inflows over the past three weeks, the investment bank said in emailed comments Thursday. Adjusting for hedge fund basis trades, net real flow is estimated at over $4 billion, the bank said. The basis trade is a strategy that exploits the difference between the spot price of bitcoin and the price of the cryptocurrency in the futures market. Strategy (MSTR) has increased its holdings to 555,450 BTC, or 2.6% of total future supply, which is locked at 21 million BTC. The company's plan to raise $84 billion to buy more of the world's largest cryptocurrency could bring its stash to over 6%, wrote Geoff Kendrick, head of digital assets research at Standard Chartered. Next week's 13F filings may reveal further institutional adoption, Standard Chartered said. Abu Dhabi's sovereign fund already holds BlackRock's bitcoin ETF (IBIT), and both the Swiss National Bank and Norges Bank have disclosed positions in MSTR. New Hampshire passed a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve bill this week, the first U.S. state to do so, which signals growing policy alignment, the report added. Given these developments, a second-quarter bitcoin target of $120,000 may be too conservative, the bank said, citing its previous forecast. The bank has a year-end bitcoin price target of $200,000. The world's largest cryptocurrency was trading around $101,000 at publication Parts of this article were generated with the assistance from AI tools and reviewed by our editorial team to ensure accuracy and adherence to our standards. XRP Could Hit $12.5 Before President Trump's Term Ends: Standard Chartered

XRP could rise to $12.50 before President Trump leaves office, investment bank Standard Chartered (STAN) said in a report on Tuesday initiating coverage of the Ripple-related token. Standard Chartered predicts that XRP will reach $5.50 by the end of this year, $8 by 2026 year-end, $10.40 by the end of 2027, and $12.50 by end-2028. At the time of writing, XRP was up over 7% at $1.93. The bank noted that XRP rose sixfold following Donald Trump's election victory in November, reflecting expectations that the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) would drop its appeal against Ripple, and because of the potential approval of XRP exchange-traded funds (ETFs). Such gains are sustainable, the bank said, in part due to leadership changes at the SEC, but also because "XRP is uniquely positioned at the heart of one of the fastest-growing use cases for digital assets - facilitation of cross-border and cross-currency payments." "XRPL is similar to the main use case for stablecoins such as Tether: blockchain-enabled financial transactions that have traditionally been done through traditional financial (TradFi) institutions," wrote Geoffrey Kendrick, head of digital assets research at Standard Chartered Bank. Stablecoin transactions are expected to increase tenfold in the next four years, the report said. Stablecoins are cryptocurrencies whose value is tied to another asset, such as the U.S. dollar or gold. They play a major role in cryptocurrency markets and are also used for to transfer money internationally. Ripple is also planning to push XRPL into the tokenization space, the bank noted. XRPL is XRP's decentralized public blockchain, and is used for payments. These positive factors mean that XRP should keep up with its larger peer bitcoin (BTC), in terms of price appreciation, the bank said. XRPL suffers from two flaws, the small number of developers and its limited value capture, but these are more than offset by positive tailwinds, the report added.
