Samantha Ruth Prabhu says she feels embarrassed watching her performance in first film with ex-husband Naga Chaitanya: ‘I wonder why…'
Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently admitted that she feels embarrassed watching her performances in her first two films. Samantha, who is all set to mark her debut as a producer, recently visited SV Group of Institution in Nellore, where she recalled her initial days in the film industry.
Recalling her performances in her debut film Ye Maaya Chesave and the 2010 Tamil movie Baana Kaathadi, Samantha said, 'If I watch my first two movies now, I feel embarrassed and wonder why I gave such a horrible performance.'
Samantha Ruth Prabhu then praised the actors of her first production venture, Subham. She said, 'To see these young kids in their first film, I am proud of the film.'
Ye Maaya Chesave, directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, starred her ex-husband Naga Chaitanya and received positive reviews from critics. The film was also a commercial success, earning Rs 30 crore at the box office on a budget of Rs10 crore
After 15 years of her acting career, Samantha Ruth Prabhu has started her production banner, Tralala Moving Pictures. The banner's first film, Subham, is all set to hit theatres on May 9. The movie, directed by Cinemabandi fame Praveen Kandregula, features an all-new cast including Harshith Reddy, Gavireddy Srinivas, Charan peri, Shriya Kontham, Shravani Lakshmi, Shalini Kondepudi, and Vamshidhar Goud.
On the work front, Samantha will soon be seen in a fantasy drama titled Brahmand, directed by Tumbbad filmmaker Rahi Anil Barve. The film is backed by the filmmaker duo Raj & DK.
