Recreating Bal Thackeray's voice and making Saamana anchor, Sena (UBT) banks big time on AI
From recreating Shiv Sena founder Bal Thackeray's voice to developing an Artificial Intelligence anchor for its mouthpiece Saamana , the Shiv Sena (UBT) is betting big on AI ahead of the coming civic polls in Maharashtra. The opposition party is likely to use this new-age technology to reach out to a wider section of people, specially youngsters who are tech-savvy. Elections to various civic bodies, including the cash-rich Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, are likely to be held later this year. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Semua yang Perlu Anda Ketahui Tentang Limfoma Limfoma Pelajari Undo Banking on AI by the Uddhav Thackeray-led party comes at a time when he is facing challenges in his political career, in view of the split in the Shiv Sena and collapse of his Maha Vikas Aghadi government in 2022 as well as poor show in the state polls last year. Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Anil Desai told PTI that he uses AI as much as possible, specially for data analysis. Live Events In April, the Shiv Sena (UBT) used AI to recreate a voice resembling Bal Thackeray, in his trademark style, to address party workers at an event in Nashik, in a bid to shore up the Uddhav Thackeray-led outfit's prospects after the state assembly polls debacle last year. The speech tried to create, according to the Shiv Sena (UBT), what Bal Thackeray would have said had he been alive. The AI speech saw attacks primarily aimed at the ruling BJP and the rival Shiv Sena led by Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde . It also tried to have the mannerisms, tone which Bal Thackeray used during his speeches. On Friday, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP and party mouthpiece's executive editor Sanjay Raut unveiled 'Tejasvi AI', claimed to be the first Artificial Intelligence anchor in Marathi media. The AI anchor will read out news on Saamana's YouTube channel, he said. Dressed in a black suit, AI anchor appears to be a man in his late twenties or early thirties with a sharp nose and jawline. Some Shiv Sena (UBT) leaders, including its Lok Sabha member Anil Desai, are even using AI for their day-to-day use. Desai credited Uddhav Thackeray 's son and Yuva Sena chief Aaditya Thackeray behind using AI in functioning. The Mumbai South-Central MP said he has been using AI for data analysis wherever possible to understand statistics better. "I try to use the AI as much as possible. But it is not the only tool or source I use," Desai said. Last month, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) digitally recreated the voice of its founder N T Rama Rao (NTR) using AI for an invitation video for its annual conclave in Kadapa district.

Trump has internationalised the Kashmir dispute: Tharoor
New Delhi: Senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor on X wrote, 'Mr Trump's post is disappointing for India in four important ways: First, it implies a false equivalence between the victim and the perpetrator, and seemingly overlooks the US' own past unwavering stance against Pakistan's well-documented links to cross-border terrorism. Second, it offers Pakistan a negotiating framework which it certainly has not earned. India will never negotiate with a terrorist gun pointed at its head. Third, it 'internationalises' the Kashmir dispute, an obvious objective of the terrorists. India rejects the idea of a dispute and sees the problem as an internal affair of India's. India has never requested, not is likely to seek, any foreign country's mediation over its problems with Pakistan. And fourth, it 're-hyphenates' India and Pakistan in the global imagination. For decades now, world leaders had been encouraged not to club their visits to India with visits to Pakistan, and starting with President Clinton in 2000, no US President had done so. This is a major backward step.' On Saturday, US President Donald Trump took to social media to announce that India and Pakistan - after four tense days of cross-border clashes - had agreed to a 'full and immediate ceasefire', brokered by the US. Later, in another post he said: 'I will work with you both to see if, after a thousand years, a solution can be arrived at, concerning Kashmir.' Meanwhile, The Shiv Sena (UBT) said the Modi government wasted an opportunity to realise Hindutva ideologue V D Savarkar's dream of 'Akhand Bharat' by agreeing to cease military action against Pakistan. The editorial in the party mouthpiece `Saamana' said had the fighting continued for four more days, the Indian armed forces would have seized Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK), Karachi and Lahore, but US President Donald Trump played spoilsport. Before stopping the military action, India should have at least taken back PoK and separate Balochistan from Pakistan, the newspaper said. Savarkar dreamt of an undivided India extending from PoK to Rameswaram and the Indus to Assam, but 'Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government missed the opportunity to realize Savarkar's dream of Akhand Bharat,' the editorial said. PM Modi has no longer any right to 'do politics in Savarkar's name', the editorial added. Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena are all proponents of Akhand Bharat but when the time came to make the dream true, they balked, it said. India and Pakistan on Saturday reached an understanding to stop all firings and military actions on land, air and sea after four days of intense cross-border drone and missile strikes that brought the two countries to the edge of full-scale war. Sena (UBT) MP and Saamana's executive editor Sanjay Raut told reporters on Tuesday that Modi, who addressed the nation on Monday evening, did not sound like the leader of a victorious side. In a swipe at Modi and Shah, Raut said they can only break political parties and not Pakistan.

Modi govt missed opportunity to realise Savarkar's dream of 'Akhand Bharat': Sena (UBT)
Shiv Sena (UBT) criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government for failing to achieve V.D. Savarkar's vision of 'Akhand Bharat' by halting military actions against Pakistan. The party mouthpiece 'Saamana' suggested India missed an opportunity to seize Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir, Karachi, and Lahore. They claim Modi and his allies, despite advocating for 'Akhand Bharat', hesitated when the chance arose, questioning their right to invoke Savarkar's name. Tired of too many ads?
