Businessman Al-Ghannam hosts guests of IOMS organized international confab
KUWAIT CITY, May 15: Businessman Abdulaziz Al-Ghannam hosted a luncheon in honor of the guests of the 17th International Conference, organized recently by the Islamic Organization for Medical Sciences (IOMS) with the theme, 'Genetic Imprinting and Gene Editing in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: An Islamic Perspective.' Kuwait hosted the conference under the patronage of His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah. A luncheon was held at Al-Ghannam's diwaniya in Abdullah Al-Salem District, with several prominent scientific and religious figures in attendance, as well as members of the conference delegations representing an elite group of experts and specialists in the fields of Biomedicine, Islamic Jurisprudence and Medical Ethics from various Islamic countries. Speaking at the event, IOMS President Dr. Mohammad Al-Jarallah affirmed that the conference is an important scientific platform for discussing the latest developments in the fields of genetic engineering and artificial intelligence in line with the Islamic values and principles. He said the participants include influential figures like scientists, thinkers and decision-makers

Brazil envoy extends felicitations to Kuwait on 64th National Day
On behalf of Brazil, it is my pleasure to extend my heartfelt congratulations to the government and the people of Kuwait on the auspicious occasion of the 64th National Day of the State of Kuwait and the 34th anniversary of Kuwait's Liberation. I also have the honor of extending Brazil's best wishes for health, prosperity and happiness to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah. Since the establishment of relations between Kuwait and Brazil in 1968, both nations have been working together under the same values of friendship and cooperation to make the world a better place. The year 2025 is also special for marking the 50th anniversary of the opening of resident embassies of Brazil and Kuwait in their respective capitals.
