On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his two-day visit to Gujarat, will virtually flag off a new Vande Bharat train along with several railway projects from Dahod.
The new Vande Bharat Express between Ahmedabad (Sabarmati) and Gir Somnath (Veraval), said the Western Railway (WR), will offer a significant reduction in travel time, providing a faster and more convenient journey for pilgrims and tourists visiting the Somnath temple.
Train no. 26901 Sabarmati-Veraval Vande Bharat Superfast Express will commence from May 27 and will run six days a week except Thursdays. It will leave Sabarmati at 5.25 am and will arrive at Veraval at 12.25 pm in the afternoon.
On the return trip, as train no. 26902, it will depart from Veraval at 2.40 pm and reach Sabarmati at 9.35 pm.
En route, the train will halt at Viramgam, Surendranagar, Wankaner, Rajkot and Junagadh stations in both directions. This train comprises eight coaches with AC chair car and Executive chair car coaches.
