DDA Launches Year's 3rd Housing Scheme
New Delhi: Delhi Development Authority (DDA) on Tuesday introduced its third housing scheme of the year,
Apna Ghar Awaas Yojana
2025, offering 7,500 residential units in several areas, including Narela, Loknayakpuram and Siraspur.
The residential units are available at 15-20% discounted rates across various categories, including economically weaker sections (EWS), low income group (LIG), middle income group (MIG) and high income group (HIG) flats. Earlier in Jan, DDA unveiled Sabka Ghar Awaas Yojana 2025 and DDA Shramik Awaas Yojana 2025 at reduced rates.
The registrations for flats under the new scheme will commence at 12pm on May 27 and conclude on Aug 26, subject to possible extensions.
People can book on the DDA website after submitting the booking amounts of Rs 50,000 for EWS, Rs 1 lakh for LIG, Rs 4 lakh for MIG, and Rs 10 lakh for HIG flats.
After launching the scheme, lieutenant governor VK Saxena said on Saturday, "In line with Prime Minister's vision, we are working on ensuring that everyone gets to be a homeowner. DDA has introduced many new features to reduce the hurdles in owning a house in Delhi. Initiatives such as a single-window inquiry system on the website, seamless information dissemination to buyers and handing over all property-related and ownership documents to the buyer have significantly improved public trust and confidence in DDA.

LG also unveiled a specialised chat-bot service for DDA housing schemes. According to officials, this service will provide numerous benefits to the public, including round-the-clock citizen support, improved communication and public transparency, offering continuous assistance regarding the housing schemes, applications and allotment inquiries. DDA vice-chairman N Saravana Kumar was also present on the occasion.
The residential units offered included 564 LIG flats in Siraspur and 150 LIG and 96 MIG flats in Loknayakpuram. In Narela, the available units consist of 694 EWS, 5,384 LIG, 386 MIG and 226 HIG flats. There will be a 25% discount on the LIG flats at Loknayakpuram, Narela and Siraspur, and a 15% discount on EWS, MIG and HIG flats in Narela and MIG flats in Loknayakpuram.
Officials confirmed that the new scheme welcomed all Indian citizens aged 18 or above, operating on a first-come, first-serve basis.
"DDA has implemented several buyer-friendly measures over recent years, including an integrated online inquiry portal, enhanced communication with purchasers and comprehensive transfer of property documentation. These steps have strengthened public confidence in the organisation, said officials.
"After being in red for over a decade, DDA made a surplus of Rs 1,371 crore at the end of the financial year 2024-25, primarily on account of the unprecedented sale of housing units across all categories at various locations. We have done development works in Narela and invested in various projects to ensure more and more people settle here," an official said.
