Security forces have killed three militants affiliated with the Baloch Liberation Front (BLF), which officials described as an Indian-sponsored proxy group, during two separate operations in Balochistan province, the military's media wing said in a statement.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the first intelligence-based operation was launched in the Gishkur area of Awaran District, following reports of the presence of Indian-backed terrorists.
'During the conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged the terrorists' location and after an intense fire exchange, Indian-sponsored terrorist Younas was killed, while two Indian-sponsored terrorists got injured,' the statement read.
In a separate engagement in Turbat city, Kech District, security forces neutralised two more militants, identified as BLF commander Sabrullah and operative Amjad Bichoo.
Both were described by authorities as being actively involved in attacks on law enforcement agencies and targeted killings of civilians, the ISPR said, adding that weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from the scene.
Security officials said sanitisation operations are ongoing in the area to ensure no remaining militant elements are present. 'Security forces of Pakistan, in step with the nation, remain determined to thwart attempts by Indian proxies at sabotaging peace, stability and progress of Balochistan,' the statement added.
