‘Snow in May?' Elk Grove police seize pounds of cocaine during stolen car bust
( — The Elk Grove Police Department seized pounds of cocaine during a traffic stop on a stolen car.
'Snow in May?' EGPD asked on social media.
On Thursday, EGPD officers were near Sheldon Road and Bruceville Road when they said they spotted a stolen vehicle and pulled it over. During the stop, a search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of over two kilos of cocaine, just under 5 pounds, according to EGPD.

Additionally, officers said they found a large sum of cash. It is unclear exactly how much money was discovered. Because of the amount of drugs found, police obtained a search warrant for the driver's house. There, they found a handgun.
The driver was arrested and booked into the Sacramento Main Jail.
