SCC's Family Committee wraps up Arab policy forum participation

Commitment to Institutional Representation in Arab Family Forums The committee's participation stemmed from the Council's keenness on active institutional presence in Arab forums concerned with family affairs, representing the Emirate of Sharjah and the UAE in meetings that contribute to discussing social policies and issues related to family and childhood from a participatory and integrative perspective. Sharjah Delegation Members The Council's delegation from the Family Affairs Committee included His Excellency Saeed Matar bin Hamad Al Tuniji, Chairman of the Committee, along with Committee Members His Excellency Rashid Ghanem Al Shamsi and His Excellency Humaid Obaid Al Hammoudi. Forum Highlights Key Arab Family Issues The forum witnessed a diverse presentation of a number of critical issues affecting the Arab family. Key topics included societal changes, the impact of digital transformations, the empowerment of women and youth, and the enhancement of social protection for families. These themes aligned with the priorities of the Family Affairs Committee of the ٍSCC, which continually seeks to develop its vision in light of regional challenges and developments. Appreciation for Knowledge Exchange and Regional Collaboration The committee's delegation expressed the importance of participating in the forum, noting its role in exchanging expertise and showcasing pioneering experiences. They praised the initiatives and policies presented that support the stability of Arab families and promote societal solidarity. Commendation of Organisers and Regional Dialogue Efforts The delegation also commended the organisers' efforts in bringing together expertise from various Arab countries under the umbrella of constructive dialogue, joint planning, and continued communication between the SCC and the Family and Childhood Department at the League of Arab States.
