Elizabeth Hurley and Billy Ray Cyrus make red carpet debut

Elizabeth Hurley and Billy Ray Cyrus turned heads with their glamorous red carpet debut as a couple in Rome on Saturday, May 24. The pair attended the opening dinner for the 'Orizzonti | Rosso' exhibition at the stunning Palazzo Barberini. This marked their first public appearance together overseas since confirming their romance in April. Hurley, 59, dazzled in a vibrant Barbie-pink Safiyaa gown that hugged her figure and featured a plunging neckline with dramatic cape sleeves. She styled her brunette hair in soft waves and accessorised with statement earrings and silver platform sandals. This gave a subtle nod to her iconic '60s Austin Powers role, according to US Magazine. Her look was completed with a silver clutch and flawless makeup, including a smoky eye and nude lip. Billy Ray Cyrus, 63, complemented her with his signature country-rock vibe. He wore fitted black trousers adorned with silver medallions, a black jacket with leather accents, and classic Western boots. His look was topped off with a dark brown cowboy hat, sunglasses, and a thick chain necklace, keeping his trademark style intact. The couple was joined by Elizabeth's 23-year-old son, Damian Hurley, who made a bold statement in a striking red suit paired with sunglasses. The family trio posed arm-in-arm, radiating warmth and happiness as they entered the event in the heart of Italy's capital. Their romance took many by surprise when they went public with a cosy Instagram photo on Easter Sunday. They were locked in a loving embrace at Cyrus's Nashville estate. Since then, they have shared glimpses of their life, including countryside walks and off-road adventures, revealing a genuine connection built on shared interests. Elizabeth Hurley has spoken warmly about their bond, saying, 'We're actually quite similar and get on extremely well. We both like to laugh a lot, and we both love the country.' She added, 'We both love country music, movies, and cowboy boots, definitely'. Cyrus echoed this sentiment, recalling how their friendship blossomed into romance during a difficult period in his life. 'There was chemistry there. We just laughed, and it was at a time I wasn't laughing a lot,' he shared. Elizabeth Hurley, a British icon, and Cyrus, a country music legend, show that love knows no borders or genres. Their stylish debut in Rome also highlights the global nature of celebrity culture, where fashion and romance intersect on the world stage. As Hurley approaches her 60th birthday on 10 June, she plans to celebrate this milestone with Cyrus by her side. Their story is a reminder that life's surprises can come at any age — and sometimes, in the most glamorous of ways. This enchanting couple continues to charm fans worldwide, proving that sometimes, the most unexpected romances shine the brightest. Future Queen of the Netherlands Princess Catharina-Amalia Wears a 137-Year-Old Ruby Tiara to State Visit

When it comes to European royal families, the future is female. Though the British royal family has a male King and two male heirs behind him following the historic 70-year-reign of Queen Elizabeth, other royal families around Europe like Sweden, Norway, Belgium, Spain, and the Netherlands all have female monarchs on deck, including Princess Catharina-Amalia of the Netherlands. Amalia, 21, recently brought out a 137-year-old ruby tiara for a state visit, which she paired with matching earrings. The Princess of Orange wore the Mellerio Ruby Parure Tiara alongside a lavender Safiyaa dress, a label worn by both Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle. The Mellerio Ruby Parure Tiara belongs to the Dutch royal family's collection and was made by French jeweler Mellerio, according to Town & Country. The Court Jeweller shared that the tiara was made for Queen Emma around 1888, and every Dutch queen has worn it since, including Amalia's mother, Queen Maxima. Maxima last wore the topper last December at a state banquet honoring Portugal; for that occasion, Amalia wore the Dutch Star Tiara. Amalia, Maxima, and King Willem-Alexander welcomed Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said of Oman on April 15, hosting a state banquet to kick off a two-day state visit. This marks the Princess of Orange's third state banquet and comes almost exactly one year after her first state banquet on April 17 of last year, when the Dutch royal family welcomed King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain. (Princess of Orange, by the way, is a title that can only be held by the heir to the throne, similar to William's title of Prince of Wales in the U.K.) Princess Catharina-Amalia—who is currently a student at the University of Amsterdam—has previously admitted that she has an affinity for tiaras, writing in her 2021 biography (per People), 'I love tiaras. Show me a tiara, and I'll know where it came from. I can recognize all the tiaras of Europe.' 'I used to put them on from my mother,' she continued in her biography, released ahead of her 18th birthday. 'Then there would be one on her makeup table, and I would have it directly on my head.' She added, 'I really liked to be in my mother's jewelry anyway. When I was very little. She was preparing for an important dinner, and she shouted around the house, 'Amalia, where's that ring?'' Though being queen is in Amalia's future, she told biographer Claudia de Breij that she hoped it wouldn't be anytime soon: 'I said to my father, 'You just keep on eating healthy and exercising a lot,'' Amalia said. Princess Catharina-Amalia Has a Rare Tiara Moment

Princess Catharina-Amalia continues to prepare for her role as a future monarch with another appearance at a state visit—and she did so in full princess regalia. For the occasion, the princess chose the Mellerio Ruby Parure Tiara, paired with the "Ginkgo" dress by British label Safiyaa in lavender. The tiara, from the Dutch royal family's collection, was made for the family by French jewelry maker Mellerio, founded in 1613. According to The Court Jeweller, the tiara was created 'for Queen Emma around 1888 as a part of a larger ruby parure.' Every Dutch queen since Emma has worn the tiara, including Queen Máxima, who wore it last at a state banquet welcoming in honor of Portugal this past December. At that banquet, Princess Catharina-Amalia donned the Dutch Star Tiara. The Princess of Orange appeared with her parents, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands, on Tuesday as they welcomed Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said of Oman during a state banquet on the first night of a two-day state visit. This is Princess Catharina-Amalia's third state banquet, nearly a year to the day of her first one on April 17, 2024, welcoming King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain. The princess, who turned 21 in December, is first in line to the throne to the throne of the Netherlands, and her presence at the banquet highlights her rising profile. Princess Catharina-Amalia, eldest child of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima, has used the title 'Princess of Orange'—a title that can only be held by the heir to the throne—since her father's investiture as King of the Netherlands in 2013. She has two younger sisters, Princess Alexia, 19, and Princess Ariane, 18, neither of whom were present this evening. Princess Catharina-Amalia is currently studying for her bachelor's degree at the University of Amsterdam.
