Saheefa Jabbar deletes her Facebook account

In an Instagram post shared Saturday, actor Saheefa Jabbar Khattak announced that she had deactivated her Facebook account in order to limit her digital presence. "Today I successfully deleted my Facebook account. I truly hope that one day, I can erase all traces of my presence on social media - every naive, obnoxious, and poorly thought-out interview, every photoshoot I never liked, and every project that never had my heart in it," she began. Gratitude for the life she's been leading also made its way into Saheefa's note. "At the same time, I'm grateful for what this industry has given me. Financially, it has provided me with opportunities I could never have achieved elsewhere. It has allowed me to travel the world, support my family in having a better life, and creating a better life for myself with them," she added. "But if you ask me, there are still so many projects, interviews, and opinions I've shared in the past that I am not proud of. And when you feel that way, it means you're not completely content with life. And I believe contentment is what we all seek." Reflecting on how she envisions her life moving forward, she said, "I wish for a future better than my present. I wish to meet and befriend people who inspire me. I wish to learn from the best of the best. I wish to spend more time with my parents and my husband. As a family, we have sacrificed so much in the past few years to build the future we are hoping for. But the toll it has taken on us, I can only hope it's worth it." Finally, the Bhool actor offered a piece of advice to her followers. "Whatever you do in life, do it with a conscious mind. And if you fail to do so, forgive yourself. Because if you don't forgive yourself, no one else will. Life will always throw challenges at you - this is what I've learned over the past few years. The challenges, they never end." In March last year, Saheefa opened up about her struggles with her dark thoughts and "unexplainable pain" on Instagram Stories. Stating that it was very difficult to accept what she was going through, she said that her pain had begun to take a physical toll and expressed her desire to be "healed". Adding a note to herself, she wrote, "Stay put, Saheefa. You are way too precious to give up on your life. This too shall pass, like always."
