The early indicator of Nifty50 performance -- GIFT NIFTY -- was up 8.6 points or 0.03 per cent at 24,738 as of 7:35 AM. Equity markets in Asia opened on a mixed note after a muted Wall Street close following weak economic data. Last checked, Japan's Nikkei was lower by 0.808 per cent while South Korea's Kospi was up 1.3 per cent. Stocks in the US posted modest gains as calls for rate cuts by the Federal Reserve grew after data showed hiring growth fell to the slowest pace in two years. The S&P 500 index rose by 0.01 per cent while the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 0.22 per cent. Tensions between Ukraine and Russia flared up as US President Donald Trump said Vladimir Putin vowed to retaliate for Ukraine's shocking drone strike. Meanwhile, Trump signed a proclamation that banned individuals from 12 countries, including Afghanistan and Myanmar, from entering the US. Meanwhile, below are some stocks to watch during today's session: KEC International: The company landed new orders amounting to ₹2,211 crore across its key business segments. The orders were received in the company's oil and gas pipelines business, transmission and distribution sector, and for the supply of various types of cables. Bharat Electronics: The Navratna Defence Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) secured additional orders worth ₹537 crore since the last set of orders announced on May 16, 2025. The new orders comprise communication equipment, an advanced composite communication system for ships, jammers, software, simulator upgrades, spares, test rigs, and related services. Vedanta: The Indian mining and metals firm said it has increased its renewable energy power capacity to 1.03 gigawatt (Gw). The company said it is on track to achieve its goal of reaching 2.5 Gw of clean energy by 2030. YES Bank: The lender said that CA Basque Investments, an affiliate of global investment firm Carlyle Group, will no longer have the right to nominate a director to the bank's Board, following its sale of a 2.62 per cent stake in the bank earlier this week through block deals. Hindustan Aeronautics: The company said it is in discussions with General Electric (GE) for the engines for its Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Mark 2. The company explicitly denied recent media speculation suggesting it was negotiating with other manufacturers for these engines. Vodafone Idea: The telecom operator has called an extraordinary general meeting on 27 June to seek shareholder approval for a ₹20,000 crore ($2.4 billion) capital raise and amendments to its Articles of Association (AoA) aimed at retaining promoter control. Reliance Infra: The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) has suspended insolvency proceedings against the company after the company argued that it has cleared the entire outstanding amount of ₹92.68 crore owed to Dhursar Solar Power Pvt Ltd (DSPPL). REC: The company has proposed to raise up to ₹1.55 lakh crore through non-convertible debentures (NCDs) on a private placement basis. Force Motors: The company's domestic sales climbed by 24.5 per cent year-over-year to 3,002 units, while total sales increased by 19.4 per cent to 3,088 units. However, the company experienced a sharp decline in exports, which fell by 52.2 per cent. Power Grid Corp: The company acquired MEL Power Transmission Ltd for ₹8.53 crore, to develop a power evacuation system from Mahan Energen in Madhya Pradesh on a build, own, operate and transfer (BOOT) basis. Newgen Software Technologies: The firm secured a $2.5 million order from an international client to supply its products and implement them for digital transformation across multiple business segments.

GIFT Nifty hinted at a slightly higher start for domestic stocks. The early indicator was up 28 points or 0.12 per cent at 24,855 as of 7:20 AM. Stocks in Asia got off to a cautious start as investors remain on edge about whether the leaders of the two biggest economies will hold a conversation to calm trade tensions. Last checked, Japan's Nikkei was higher by 0.4 per cent while China's CSI 30 was up 0.3 per cent. According to reports, Beijing has yet to confirm whether Xi Jinping will participate in a call that the White House is hinting at for this week. This comes after the two countries accused each other of violating a trade agreement reached last month. Meanwhile, Wall Street ended higher as heavyweight tech stocks drove benchmarks higher. The S&P 500 index rose by 0.41 per cent while the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 0.08 per cent. Back home, on Monday, the BSE Sensex settled 77.26 points or 0.09 per cent lower at 81,373.75, while the Nifty50 fell 34.10 points or 0.14 per cent to end at 24,716.6. FIIs sold shares worth ₹2,589.4 crore, while DIIs net bought equities worth ₹5,313.7 crore. Meanwhile, below are some stocks to watch during today's session: Adani Group stocks: Billionaire Gautam Adani's conglomerate has once again come under the crosshairs as its companies are under investigation by US prosecutors. The authorities are probing whether Adani's firms brought Iranian liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) into India via the Mundra port, which his company operates. The company 'categorically denies' any such wrongdoing. United Breweries: The beer maker has announced plans to wind up operations at its Mangalore brewery unit in Karnataka with effect from June 30, 2025. The move is part of a consolidation effort in its brewery operations, and the company plans to expand its Mysuru brewery. HCLTech: The information technology (IT) major announced a partnership with US software firm UiPath to accelerate AI-led agentic automation for the latter's customers globally. The company said the partnership will automate business processes with less need for human intervention. Glenmark Pharmaceuticals: The pharma company's arm, Ichnos Glenmark Innovation (IGI), shared encouraging early results from a new cancer drug being tested on patients with a difficult form of blood cancer. The drug, called ISB 2001, in a single treatment and has shown strong response rates in patients who have already undergone multiple prior therapies. NTPC Green: Honeywell announced a partnership with NTPC Green Energy to jointly explore producing sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in India. The companies will explore the use of Honeywell's proprietary eFining technology to produce SAF from carbon dioxide (CO₂) feedstock captured from NTPC's power plants and green hydrogen. Jindal Stainless: The company said it has acquired a special purpose vehicle (SPV) to generate 282 megawatt (Mw) of hybrid renewable energy for the supply of clean energy to its manufacturing plants. The company has acquired a 33.64 per cent equity stake as of the date. Ashok Leyland: The flagship company of the Hinduja group has recorded a 5 per cent rise in its sales of trucks, buses and light commercial vehicles, in domestic and overseas markets in May, by selling 15,484 units. The cumulative sales till May during this fiscal remained flat at 28,905 units, as against 28,953 units sold in the same period (April-May) of last year. UCO Bank: The state-run lender appointed Sumit Khandelwal as its new chief financial officer (CFO) with immediate effect. Khandelwal, who previously served as the general manager and the zonal head of the bank's New Delhi zone, replaces Sujoy Dutta as CFO. Man Industries: The company has approved a proposal to raise up to ₹300 crore through a preferential allotment of convertible warrants and equity shares to the promoter group entity and non-promoters, respectively.

GIFT Nifty indicated a higher start for domestic stocks. The early indicator of the Nifty 50 Index's performance in India, was down 221 points or 0.91 per cent at 24,390 as of 07:00 AM. Stocks in the Asia Pacific region saw a relief rally, taking cues from Wall Street, following US President Donald Trump's optimism on de-escalating trade tension with China. Last checked, Japan's Nikkei was up 1.58 per cent, while South Korea's Kospi was higher by 1.12 per cent. Overnight, US stocks soared along with treasuries as Trump said he has no plan to fire Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell, even as he wanted the central bank to cut rates to boost growth. The S&P 500 index advanced by 2.51 per cent while the Nasdaq Composite and the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell by 2.71 per cent and 2.66 per cent, respectively, on Tuesday. On Tuesday, the BSE Sensex settled 187 points or 0.24 per cent higher at 79,595, while the Nifty50 rose 41 points or 0.17 per cent to end at 24,167. FIIs bought shares for the fifth straight day on Tuesday, worth ₹1,290.43 crore, while DIIs net sold up shares worth ₹885.63 crore. Meanwhile, below are some buzzing stocks to keep tabs on during today's session: Q4 earnings corner: HCLTech: The information technology (IT) major posted a consolidated net profit of ₹4,307 crore for the fourth quarter, a 7.81 per cent rise year-on-year (Y-o-Y). Revenue from operations came in at ₹30,246 crore, up 6.1 per cent, slightly below the projected ₹30,275 crore. Hathway Cable & Datacom: The provider of cable and internet services reported a marginal increase in consolidated net profit at ₹34.8 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 2025. Revenue from operations was up at ₹513.15 crore from ₹493.37 crore a year ago. AU Small Finance Bank: The Jaipur-based lender reported a net profit of ₹504 crore in the January–March quarter of FY25, up 18 per cent Y-o-Y from the corresponding period a year ago, aided by healthy growth in net interest income (NII) and other income. Havells India: The company reported a profit of ₹518 crore in the three months ended March 31, nearly 16 per cent higher than a year ago. Its revenue from operations rose 20.2 per cent to ₹6,544 crore, beating analysts' estimates of 62.32 billion rupees. Tata Communications: The company reported a 15 per cent rise in its fourth-quarter profit, helped by higher demand for its data services. The firm's consolidated pre-tax profit for the January-to-March quarter rose to ₹336 crore from ₹292 crore a year earlier. Other stocks in news: Ambuja Cements: Adani Group-owned firm has completed the acquisition of 37.8 per cent promoters' stake of CK Birla group firm Orient Cement Ltd (OCL) and has become a promoter. With this, the total shareholding of Ambuja Cements in OCL has gone up to 46.66 per cent, as it has also acquired 1.82 crore shares representing 8.87 per cent from public shareholders of OCL. Gensol Engineering, Power Finance Corp: Power Finance Corporation (PFC), a public sector non-banking financial company (NBFC), lodged a complaint with the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) against Gensol Engineering Ltd's (GEL's) falsified documents in February. In the official statement, PFC on Tuesday evening said that under its anti-fraud policy, it is investigating GEL for falsified documents. Bharti Airtel: The telecom operator and its subsidiary, Bharti Hexacom Limited, have signed agreements with Adani Data Networks Limited (a part of Adani Enterprises) to use 400 MHz of spectrum in the 26 GHz band. PNC Infratech: The company has been declared the lowest bidder for a project valued at ₹239.94 crore. The project involves constructing a flyover from Heeradas Chouraha to Kumher Gate Chouraha in Bharatpur city, Rajasthan. It will be executed on an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) basis and has been awarded by the Public Works Department (PWD) of Rajasthan. Ashoka Buildcon: The company has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA)from Central Railway for a ₹568.86 crore project involving gauge conversion and related civil works on the Pachora-Jamner section (53.3 km), excluding Pachora yard and road over bridges. Varun Beverages: The company informed that it started commercial production of carbonated soft drinks, juice-based drinks and packaged drinking water at its production facility at Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.
