Power restored after major outages in parts of New Brunswick
N.B. Power's outage map reported a significant outage in the Fredericton area on Sunday afternoon. More than 22,500 customers had no power, according to the utility's website. But the map said many of those customers were back on line by 2:15 p.m. All customers had their power back by 2:40 p.m. The cause of the outage hasn't been made public. About 12,000 customers in Saint John were also affected by an outage around 1 p.m. Power was restored shortly after, according to Saint John Energy.

Thousands of people in New Brunswick experience power outage

Around 12,000 customers were affected in the west side and south end of Saint John according to an X post from Saint John Energy. Not long after, around 22,000 people in the Fredericton area experienced a power outage. NB Power informed its customers via X that power was restored shortly after.
