🤝One step from signing, Racing in advanced talks with Mura

In the midst of the break after securing classification to the Copa Libertadores, La Academia continues to work in the transfer market with the same priority: Not to lose any key figures. In this vein, Saja and Milito agreed to the contract renewal of Facundo Mura, who was being courted by Brazilian football. The new contract will include a salary increase and an extension of two or three years, as confirmed by Juan Pablo De Luca. This article was translated into English by Artificial Intelligence. BRDHS's Community Cooking Series fills stomachs and hearts

Belle River High School's first-ever community cooking series kicked off with great enthusiasm, bringing together students from various grades and their families to explore diverse cuisines and cultures. The four-part series aims to foster understanding and unity within our Noble community. Funding was provided, in part, by a multicultural grant offered through the Greater-Essex County District School Board. The most recent event was held on May 14 and delved into Lebanese cuisine, featuring dishes by the Makkawi family. Attendees were treated to an impressive array of traditional, home-cooked dishes such as kibbeh, tabouli, and babaganoush lovingly prepared by Mr. and Mrs. Makkawi while students Saja and Doha Makkawi shared a presentation about their culture. Their dedication and effort were evident in every detail, turning the culinary experience into a heartfelt celebration of culture and family. The event on April 30 showcased Japanese cuisine, led by exchange student Riri Ito from Japan. Students learned to prepare matcha and traditional dishes like sushi and other bento box items. Ito's insights and personal stories added depth to the experience, offering a genuine glimpse into her hometown, school life, and broader Japanese traditions. 'The experience of the whole event was so informative, and the food was absolutely delicious!' shared Sierra Jillson, a grade 12 student who attended with her mother. The very first of the series was the enthusiastic involvement of the Ghuman family, owners of Punjab BBQ on April 2. Their participation brought authentic Punjabi flavours such as BBQ chicken and paneer tikka and much more to the event, enriching the experience for all attendees. Grade 9 student, Reenat Ghuman presented with friends, some wearing traditional saris. Ms. Brosseau, organizer and guidance counsellor shared, 'We are so incredibly grateful to the students and families who eagerly accepted our invitation to showcase the food and traditions of their culture. We were truly overwhelmed with their generosity and willingness to participate. They dedicated so much time to planning and preparing for these events - it is a testimony to families' eagerness to share and to celebrate diversity together. The BRDHS school community is ready to learn and listen.' The final instalment of the Community Cooking Series this school year will take place June 4. The Newman family will present Jamaica: A Caribbean Treasure by sharing jerk chicken, Jamaican patties and more. Maison and Markcos Newman will present on the community and culture. BRDHS students and their families are encouraged to sign up. The community cooking series has proven to be more than just a culinary exploration; it has become a platform for students to connect, learn, and celebrate the rich taste of cultures within our school. As the series continues, we look forward to more delicious dishes and meaningful interactions strengthening our Noble bond.
