Back in 2021, amid the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the actor even had an online video call with a fan who had been battling brain cancer. Kamal Hassan joined a Zoom call to talk to a cancer patient Back in 2021, Sandhya Vaidyanathan, an artist and illustrator, took to her online social media platform to express gratitude towards Kamal Hassan for making one of his fans' wishes true. She had revealed through a series of posts that the actor had recently joined a Zoom meeting with his young fan, Saketh, who had been at the time battling with cancer. She shared the post along with a video from the meeting and said, " Kamal Haasan , you are a legend," and even labelled the experience as 'magical.' Saketh, Sandhya's cousin brother, was a huge fan of Kamal Haasan and had been wanting to meet the Vikram' actor for a long time. Hassan ended up joining a video call with Sandhya and Saketh, as well as his baby and mother-in-law. Sandhya had shared the post on her social media account with the caption 'AND WE MADE THIS HAPPEN! OMG, I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! Saketh's wish was to see @ikamalhaasan, and this happened... I'm so grateful to the team from his office and to everyone who amplified my story, and I can't stop crying… This is epic… This is what I live for... to make dreams true… to help people! During the video, Saketh was also seen asking the actor how he and his family were, to which Kamal Hassan replied, 'Yeah, I'm talking to one now,' making the family react with happiness and shock.
