Prominent Russian Imam Wisam Bardawil, Who Reportedly Founded Muslim Brotherhood Cell In Russia, Disseminates Hamas Propaganda On Social Media, Glorifies The 'Martyrdom' Of His Uncle, Top Hamas Official And Russia Liaison Salah Bardawil, Who Was Killed By Israeli Drone Strike
A prominent Russian imam, Wisam Al-Bardawil (sometimes spelled Visam Bardvil), published a Facebook post on March 23, 2025, mourning his uncle Salah Bardawil, a senior member of Hamas's political bureau who was killed that day in an Israeli drone strike (for more about Salah Bardawil, see MEMRI Special Dispatch No. 11891 – Hamas Official Salah Bardawil, Recently Killed In Gaza – Clips From The MEMRI TV Archives). Salah Bardawil headed Hamas's planning and development office and led strategic and military planning in the Gaza Strip. According to some reports, Bardawil also facilitated contact between Hamas and Russian authorities. [1] In his Facebook post, Wisam Al-Bardawil commented on the killing of his uncle, writing in Russian: "My uncle and his wife are martyrs – shahids". The following report expands on the Hamas-affiliated Russian imam's jihadi links and dissemination of Hamas content on social media. Wisam Bardawil (source: Instagram) Background: Russia-Hamas Relations The Kremlin examines the Middle East closely, and constantly. The Russian government has many times reiterated its support for the establishment of the Palestinian State with the capital in East Jerusalem. [2] The confrontation between Israel and Hamas the Houthi attacks on shipping in the Red Sea (including the vessels of Russia's "shadow fleet" [3] ) threaten not only Russian influence in the region, but also petroleum exports, which are already curbed due to sanctions. Moscow's alienation and deterioration of the relations with the West prompted Russia's rapprochement with the "rogue states" and movements. This political course may have affected the Kremlin's stance on radical Islam. For instance, a delegation of the Afghan Taliban, which is on Russia's federal list of banned terrorist organizations, participated in the Moscow format meeting in 2023 [4] , then in 2024 – in St. Petersburg International Economic Forum [5] and even in the Forum of Ministers of Education in Kazan. [6] After the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, Moscow did not recognize Hamas as a terrorist organization – in fact, Russian contacts with the Islamic Resistance Movement intensified. [7] The movement's leaders have visited Russia on numerous occasions, including at the invitation of President Vladimir Putin. [8] There are concerns that the lenient state policy towards Islamist groups may lead to the infiltration of radical teachings into Russia, in particular among migrants from Central Asia. For example, Russian State Duma deputy Andrei Lugovoi on his Telegram account noted on April 7, 2025: "Among the migrants, there are those [individuals] who are fertile soil for [recruitment for] sabotage and terrorist attacks. In 2024, migrants recruited by radicals staged high-profile attacks: the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall, the murder of General Kirillov, etc." [9] Christian Orthodox Bishop Patriarkh Kirill of Moscow, spoke at the session of the World Russian People's Council about the grave situation surrounding migration, and warned of the threat posed to the future of Russia in the form of "preachers of radical Islamism and extremism". [10] Wisam Bardawil's Facebook post on the "martyrdom" of his uncle, Hamas official Salah Bardawil. [11] Uzbek Authorities: Wisam Bardawil Founded Muslim Brotherhood Cell In Russia Uzbek authorities have claimed that Wisam Bardawil founded and headed a cell of the Islamist movement the Muslim Brotherhood in Russia. Despite these allegations, it appears that Russian authorities and media did not investigate the prominent imam, despite the 2003 designation by the Russian Supreme Court that the Muslim Brotherhood movement is a terrorist organization, and ruling that its activities are prohibited on Russian Federation territory. Bardawil has been linked to a Russia-based Uzbek Imam who was arrested in March 2016 while in Bukhara, Uzbekistan, for his involvement with the Muslim Brotherhood. The imam, Abdulaziz Khashimov, was found to be an operative for the Russian Muslim Brotherhood cell reportedly headed by Bardawil. Having served as imam of several mosques in Bukhara, Khashimov later moved to the Russian city of Murmansk, and was involved in recruiting labor migrants from Uzbekistan to join the cell in Russia. [12] Another link to the Muslim Brotherhood is Bardawil's role as Chairman of the Russia-registered Union of Islamic Organization, which was recently disbanded. [13] While the organization's website is defunct, its VKontakte account is still accessible. The posts suggest that the Union of Islamic Organizations was a partner of the Federation of Islamic Organizations in Europe (FIOE) (at least until 2018), which was created by the Muslim Brotherhood. [14] One VKontakte post by the Union of Islamic Organizations reports that Bardawil represented Russia in a meeting of the Council of Chairmen of the FIOE organizations held in Istanbul on October 19-21, 2018. [15] Bardawil's organization also sent students to study at courses for religious leaders, organized by the FIOE. [16] Despite the Uzbek reports on his Muslim Brotherhood ties, Wisam Bardawil remains a high profile Muslim leader in Russia. Bardawil is a member of the board of trustees of the Solidarity Foundation, a Russian charity organization that provides assistance to those in need in Russia and abroad, in particular Syrian refugees and Palestinians. [17] He was a founding member and President of the now-defunct "Ihsan" charitable foundation. [18] He serves as imam of the Yuzhnoye Butovo Mosque, located in Moscow. In addition, Bardawil is a teacher of Islamic sciences and the Arabic language, and a member of the Council of Ulema of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Russia (DUM). He is the recipient of awards from the Russian Council of Muftis and the aforementioned DUM. Bardawil studied at the Faculty of Islamic Law of the European Institute of Human Sciences (Château-Chinon, France), attended various courses in Kuwait, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia, and also enrolled in a course called "Management of Religious Organizations" at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation, which is the largest humanitarian university in Russia, located in Moscow, where many officials and high-profile administrative workers receive education or professional training. [19] Wisam Bardawil's Instagram post from November 2024, advertising his lecture on the History of the Arabian Peninsula in the 7th - 8th centuries at the National Research University Higher School of Economics. The poster for the lecture features Bardawil himself. [20] Pro-Jihadi Social Media Activity Bardawil is active on multiple social media networks. His Facebook account features posts in Russian and Arabic, and has around 700 followers and 4,800 friends. [21] He also regularly posts on Instagram, where he has approximately 2,600 followers [22] , and on VKontakte, with 1,300 followers. [23] Bardawil is most active on his YouTube channel (about 6,500 subscribers), where he posts Russian-language videos answering submitted theological questions and offering his opinions on historical, religious or political issues. [24] In total the channel features more than 500 video clips. In addition, the imam uses his YouTube channel to disseminate pro-jihadi and specifically pro-Hamas content. In a July 26, 2024 video on YouTube, discussing Palestinian refugees and the current war in Gaza,, Bardawil recalled the anti-Israeli protests by Palestinians on the border between the Gaza Strip and Israel in 2018–2019, dubbed by Hamas as the "Great March of Return." [25] The Russian imam claimed that these protests were "peaceful," despite many instances of attacks on Israeli forces. Indeed, Russian RIA Novosti media reported that Palestinians tried to damage the barriers, threw stones and incendiary weapons. [26] Bardawil stated: "'The March of Return,' when Palestinians were returning... these were just peaceful marches... they reached the Israeli border. They [the Israeli military] simply killed people, they killed several hundreds of people, just like that..." [27] Wisam Bardawil on YouTube In another YouTube video, from August 24, 2024, the imam praised Gazans for their commitment to "victory" and their sacrifices. In his argument, Bardawil cited alleged Hungarian research, originally mentioned by his teacher, Kuwaiti Sheikh Jasem Al-Mutawa, claiming that the Gaza Strip had the best education for teenagers. He added that every family in the Gaza Strip has one goal: "to liberate our country, to liberate our people ... they [teenagers] are brought up in the spirit of great goals." He continued: "Death and destruction do not affect their conviction that the victory is on their side, and every drop of blood spilled is a contribution to this victory," he concluded, describing this as among the "benefits" of Gaza education. [28] On March 24, 2024, on his YouTube channel, Bardawil reiterated a conspiracy theory: that Israel strives to "cleanse" the Gaza Strip of its native population. The Imam connects the war against Hamas to Surah 17 of the Quran, Al-Isra' "We believe that what Allah Almighty promised in Surah Al-Isara' will now happen, and the battles that are happening now are part of that war, [… ]as a result of which, Allah the Almighty will give His slaves victory over the arrogance and atrocities of the people of Israel […]there is no doubt about it at all," claimed Bardawil. [29] On November 8, 2023, Bardawil posted a YouTube video in which he called the war in the Middle East a "jihad." Though he dissuaded Russian Muslims from joining the hostilities in the Gaza Strip, noting that Russian legislation prevents mercenaryism, he urged them to support jihad through other means: humanitarian aid, dissemination of "true" information, and political action. He also praised the stance of the Russian leadership on the conflict, as the Russians "condemned Israel's aggression." [30] [1] March 25, 2025. Middle East latest: Palestinians struggle to find food in Gaza; Israeli strike in Beirut kills 4
The Israeli military struck a building in Beirut's southern suburbs early Tuesday, killing at least four people, in an attack it said targeted a member of the Hezbollah militant group. The airstrike came just days after Israel launched its first attack on the Lebanese capital since a ceasefire ended fighting between Israeli forces and Hezbollah in November. At least seven other people were wounded in Tuesday's strike, according to the Lebanese Health Ministry. Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, meanwhile, report finding it harder to find food amid bakery closures. Israel says enough food entered Gaza during a six-week ceasefire with Hamas to sustain the territory's roughly 2 million Palestinians for 'a long period of time.' Israel has not allowed food, fuel or humanitarian aid to enter Gaza for a month to pressure Hamas — a tactic that rights groups say is a war crime. ___ Here's the latest: Palestinian journalist, his wife and kids killed by Israeli strike on their home in Gaza Mohamed Salah Bardawil was a journalist with the Hamas-affiliated Aqsa Radio. He was the nephew of Salah Bardawil, a well-known member of Hamas' political bureau who Israel killed last month in a strike that also killed his wife. The Israeli military did not immediately comment on the strike, which hit the journalist's home early Tuesday in the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis. Associated Press footage showed the building completely collapsed, with dried blood splatted on the grey rubble. Nearby, a child's school notebook, dust-covered dolls and clothing lay half-buried in the ruins. Fathi Nushasi, a Khan Younis resident who lives nearby, said the airstrike felt like an earthquake. 'I've witnessed many wars, but I have never seen anything like what happened to us. The rubble entered our bedroom,' he said. Dozens of people gathered at Nasser Hospital for funeral prayers, with one man crying in anguish, 'Those were children sleeping!' A press vest was placed over Bardawil's body bag. Israel has killed over 170 journalists and media workers since the war with Hamas began in October 2023, the Committee to Protect Journalists estimated as of March 24. Most recently, prominent Al Jazeera journalist Hossam Shabat was killed by a strike on his car. Israel says Palestinians have enough food for 'a long period of time' Israel says enough food entered the Gaza Strip during its six-week ceasefire with Hamas to sustain the territory's roughly 2 million Palestinians for 'a long period of time.' U.N. agencies have warned that food is running out, and Palestinians in Gaza say markets are largely empty after Israel cut off the supply of food, fuel and humanitarian aid to the territory at the beginning of March to pressure Hamas. COGAT, the Israeli military body in charge of civilian affairs in the Palestinian territories, said Tuesday that more than 25,000 trucks entered Gaza during the ceasefire, carrying nearly 450,000 tons of aid. It said that amount represented around a third of what has entered during the entire war. 'There is enough food for a long period of time, if Hamas lets the civilians have it,' it said. Palestinian father tells of children going to bed without dinner Palestinians in the Gaza Strip say it's even harder to find food as bakeries close due to a tightened Israeli blockade of the territory. The World Food Program was forced to close another 19 bakeries that had served hundreds of thousands of people because its supplies are dwindling, according to an internal memo circulated among aid groups on Monday. Mohammed al-Kurd, a father of 12, said his children go to bed without dinner. 'We tell them to be patient and that we will bring flour in the morning,' he said. 'We lie to them and to ourselves.' Sulaiman Hasanat, a father of seven, said his family often spends an entire day searching for bread without any luck. Israel cut off the supply of food, fuel, medicine and humanitarian aid to Gaza's roughly 2 million Palestinians in early March to pressure Hamas into accepting changes to their ceasefire agreement. Israel resumed airstrikes and ground operations later that month. WFP closing all bakeries in Gaza The World Food Program says it's immediately closing all of its bakeries in Gaza following a monthlong blockade by Israel into the strip. In an internal memo circulated among aid groups Monday, the U.N. agency said that due to the lack of humanitarian aid, its supplies are running out and it doesn't have enough wheat flour needed to make bread. The agency said it's distributed all available food rations, and there are unfortunately no more stocks. For four weeks, Israel has shut off all sources of food, fuel, medicine and other supplies for the Gaza Strip's population of more than 2 million Palestinians. It's the longest blockade yet of the 17-month war with Hamas, with no sign of it ending. Aid workers have stretched supplies, but warn of a catastrophic surge in severe hunger and malnutrition. Netanyahu withdraws his pick to lead internal security agency Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has withdrawn his nomination of a former navy commander to lead the country's internal security agency after a flurry of criticism. Netanyahu's office said in a statement early Tuesday after meeting with Vice Adm. Eli Sharvit that he 'intends to examine other candidates,' without elaborating. The nomination announced on Monday had provoked widespread criticism from allies and opponents. Critics of Netanyahu are already up in arms over his move to fire Ronen Bar, the current head of the Shin Bet domestic security agency, viewing it as part of a broader assault on state institutions at a time when Netanyahu is on trial for alleged corruption and his aides are being investigated over links to the Gulf Arab nation of Qatar. Israel's Supreme Court froze Bar's dismissal pending further hearings but cleared the way for Netanyahu to interview candidates for the job. The nomination of Sharvit angered some of Netanyahu's allies after Israeli media reported that he had taken part in protests against Netanyahu's plans to overhaul the judiciary in 2023. The move also brought an unexpected rebuke from Sen. Lindsey Graham, a top ally of President Donald Trump, who tweeted an excerpt of an op-ed Sharvit had written for an Israeli technology news website in January 2024 criticizing Trump's climate policies. Graham called the nomination 'beyond problematic.' Israeli military says it intercepted a projectile fired from Gaza The Israeli military says it intercepted a projectile fired from the Gaza Strip early Tuesday that set off sirens in nearby communities. Palestinian militants have fired a small number of rockets, without causing any casualties or damage, since Israel ended its ceasefire with Hamas last month. Israel has launched waves of airstrikes and limited ground operations, killing hundreds of Palestinians. Hamas ignited the war with its Oct. 7, 2023, attack into Israel, in which militants killed some 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and abducted 251, most of whom have since been released in ceasefires or other deals. Hamas is still holding 59 hostages, 24 of whom are believed to be alive. Israel's offensive has killed over 50,000 Palestinians, according to Gaza's Health Ministry, which does not say how many were combatants or civilians.

Hamas Official Salah Bardawil, Recently Killed In Gaza – Clips From The MEMRI TV Archives
On March 23, 2025, three senior Hamas officials in Gaza were killed in an Israeli airstrike. Among them was Hamas political bureau member Salah Bardawil, who had headed Hamas's planning and development office and had led strategic and military planning in the Gaza Strip.[1] Below are MEMRI clips of Bardawil from the MEMRI TV archives. Salah Bardawil Criticizes Arab Nations for "Footing the Bill" For Trump's Deal of the Century, Says: We Can Crush the Deal – May 28, 2019 In a May 28, 2919 speech, Hamas political bureau member Salah Bardawil said in a May 28, 2019 speech that that Palestine belongs to the Palestinians, and he criticized the Arab nations for "footing the bill" for the "rope and gallows" and the shackles that are being placed on the Palestinians and their dignity, their religion, and their moral values. He said that President Trump, Jared Kushner, and Jason Greenblatt cannot overpower the will and the blood of the Palestinians, and that the Palestinians are capable of the crushing the Deal of the Century. The speech aired on aired on Hamas's Al-Aqsa TV (Gaza). Salah Bardawil: "Our people have rights. This is our land. The day has come when the Arab nation is footing the bill for the shackles that are placed on the necks of our men and women, and on our dignity, our religion, and our moral values. [...] "The rope and the gallows are bought with Arab money. From the ocean to the Gulf, and from the Gulf to Hell, they are the ones preparing [our] funeral? And what has become of us? That vagabond Trump – let him squawk. Let [Jason] Greenblatt and Kushner make statements and hints. Can they overpower our will, our decisions, our blood? They cannot. So why is the Arab nation voluntarily giving them money? [...] "If we have to – our weapons are within our reach, and we are capable of crushing the 'deal' along with its 'century,' Allah willing." One example he gave of Palestinian leaders' statements that played into Israel's hands was what Hamas's Salah Bardawil had said in May 2018 about nearly all those killed in the May 2018 "March of Return" were Hamas members (see below). Mushir Al-Farra: "We should not speak on media outlets in a way that weakens us. For example, I raised an issue concerning the March of Return... Salah Bardawil, who is a personal friend of mine and one of the leaders of Hamas... He is a dear friend who is like a brother to me, but he made a big mistake when he said, following the Friday of the Nakba anniversary on May 15-16, that 53 of the 68 martyrs were from Hamas. He was quoted by Benjamin Netanyahu, by the Israeli ambassador to the U.N., and by various ambassadors, who said: 'Why do you call it a popular uprising? It is an uprising by Hamas.' [...] "Inadvertently, he caused great harm to our public relations, because we had to shift from our attacks on Israel, its snipers, its war crimes, and its killing of children who run in open fields, who do not pose any danger to the Israeli army... We had to start defending ourselves by saying: 'No, it's a popular uprising, not one orchestrated by Hamas." To view this clip on MEMRI TV, click here or below: Salah Bardawil: 50 Of The Martyrs Killed In Gaza Were From Hamas, 12 Regular People – May 16, 2018 Hamas political bureau member Salah Bardawil said that of the 62 people killed in clashes along the Gaza border on May 14, 2018, 50 of them were from Hamas, and emphasized that this was the official figure. He was speaking on May 16 on Baladna TV, which broadcasts from Gaza. Interviewer: "Many people are saying that the children... I'm telling you what people are saying. It's not that I believe this. People are saying that children are dying and that Hamas is reaping the fruits." Salah Bardawil: "In the last round, there were 62 martyrs." Interviewer: "Right." Salah Bardawil: "50 of the martyrs were from Hamas, and the other 12 were regular people. So how can anyone claim that Hamas is reaping the fruits, when it paid such a steep price? What did Hamas gain? 50 martyrs..." Interviewer: "This figure is..." Salah Bardawil: "I am giving you an official figure. 50 of the martyrs in the recent battle were from Hamas. Before that, at least 50% of the martyrs were from Hamas. So what did Hamas gain from this?" To view this clip on MEMRI TV, click here or below: Hamas: Facebook Besieges the Palestinians Just Like the Occupation Does; Salah Bardawil: "The Occupation Is Making Great Efforts, In Coordination With Facebook, Twitter And Other Platforms, To Delete Accounts Of People Who Oppose The Zionist Occupation" – January 11, 2017 A January 11, 2017 report on Hamas's Al-Aqsa TV stated that Facebook, Twitter, and other platforms are coordinating with Israel to delete accounts of Hamas supporters. It said that "Facebook besieges the Palestinians just like the occupation besieges them' and that Facebook's campaigns "are like the periodical detention campaigns by the occupation." Hamas MP Salah Bardawil called for exposing the "secret and public contracts" of the occupation in its "onslaught against free will and freedom of expression." Host: "Many believed that social media would become pioneering platforms for the supporters of freedom – freedom of speech and the freedom to bring change. The reality, however, has been entirely different. Facebook besieges the Palestinians, just like the occupation besieges them. From time to time, supporters of Palestine are surprised to find that Facebook has deleted many pages and accounts without prior warning. It conducts periodical campaigns, which resemble the periodical detention campaigns by the occupation, as part of its so-called 'weeding out' policy. In the most recent campaign conducted last Friday, Facebook deleted some 200 accounts of Palestinian journalists and activists, especially those who support the resistance. This behavior coincided with the anniversary of the martyrdom of the first 'engineer' [Yahya Ayyash], when the hashtag 'Be Like Ayyash' went viral." [...] Hamas MP Salah Bardawil: "The occupation is making great efforts, in coordination with Facebook, Twitter and other platforms, to delete accounts of people who oppose the Zionist occupation. This stems from the occupation being a thief and a robber, which is terrified of being exposed for what it is. [...] "This is not the first time. It happened a few months ago, when many accounts were shut down, and some remain closed. But new accounts have been opened instead. Each time, the occupation monitors the new media, which defeats it by exposing the truth about it. [...] "We do not fear this reckless conduct. However, we – and anyone who can – must expose the occupation, and expose those who make contracts with it. These companies purport to be platforms of freedom, where anyone can express his opinion. We must expose these platforms and their managers. We must expose their secret and public contracts, which are used by the occupation in its onslaught against free will and the freedom of expression. [...] "We must work day and night to shut down the many Zionist websites that incite to terrorism and racism. We must close down Zionist pages that incite to racism, and we must expose the truth about what the occupation is doing in the occupied land, and we must expose the overt and covert agreements with the occupation. This is the job of the experts in the field, and I believe that it should be further developed." "This is the killing of a Palestinian child in order to collect his blood and to knead it into the bread they eat," he said. Following are excerpts: Salah Al-Bardawil: Why does the Zionist enemy, with all its might, execute Palestinian children – especially Palestinian girls? I can tell you that there are six reasons for this – not just one reason, but six. The first reason for the targeting of Palestinian children has to do with faith. The Zionist entity subscribes to false biblical doctrines – especially today, when we are experiencing so-called extremism. But this is a typical Jewish situation, which is in harmony with the biblical-Zionist history and faith. This is manifest in the Quran, which quoted the Jews as saying: 'kill the sons of the belivers' [Quran 40:25]. Thus, they subscribe to a principle of faith, which they must implement, and kill the sons of the believers. "Why not kill the believers? Why kill their sons? The killing of the sons of the believers – or, to be clearer, the killing of the Palestinian children – stem from children being weaker and thus easier to kill than adults. This is a cowardly enemy, which fears retaliation, and therefore it targets the weaker, still accomplishing the goal of reducing the number of Palestinians. […] "In addition, they have beliefs which they have tried to conceal from the world. I am referring to the ancient biblical beliefs, which instructed [the Jews] to kill children and collect their blood, in order to knead it into the bread that is eaten on Passover. This is the killing of a Palestinian child in order to collect his blood, and knead it into the bread they eat. Today, they are trying to say that these things never happened, and that it was a joke or a lie, but these are the facts of history. Anyone reading about their history will find this there." He noted that "Hamas, along with other Palestinian dignitaries from among the [Palestinian] people, preserved the national capabilities from destruction and succeeded in withstanding all those who schemed to eliminate the Palestinian people's just cause..." In an exclusive December 14, 2014 statement to the Hamas mouthpiece Al-Risalah on the occasion of the movement's 27th anniversary, Bardawil said that Hamas still has considerable surprises up its sleeve, which it will unveil at the suitable time, following the surprises it already unveiled in the latest Israeli war against Gaza, which was won by the resistance. He added that Hamas would not run out of surprises as long as it adheres to the path of resistance and of defending the Palestinians' rights, and as long as it refuses to shackle the weapons of the resistance to some negotiations with the Israeli side. He said further: "Every day, the Al-Qassam Brigades... unveil a new surprise, which reflects the movement's method of struggle against the occupation and its army." Israeli strike kills top Hamas official
An Israeli strike killed a notable Hamas official, according to The Associated Press. Palestinian parliament and political bureau member Salah Bardawil was among a minimum of 26 killed in Israeli strikes in southern Gaza stretching from Saturday night into Sunday morning, the AP reported. The strike also killed Bardawil's wife. The number of Palestinian deaths in Gaza following the beginning of the war between Israel and Hamas is over 50,000 now, Gaza's Health Ministry said, coming after a ceasefire was ended last week by Israel via a stream of strikes, the AP reported. According to its military, Israel also recently launched strikes in retaliation against Lebanon during an unstable ceasefire with the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah that came together last year. Earlier this week, Israel also went forward with a stream of deadly strikes aimed at Hamas in Gaza, which stopped a ceasefire. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office said the attack that killed 400 Palestinians came after 'Hamas's repeated refusal to release our hostages, as well as its rejection of all of the proposals it has received from US Presidential Envoy Steve Witkoff and from the mediators,' 'Israel will, from now on, act against Hamas with increasing military strength,' the prime minister's office also said. President Trump also backed the earlier attack, with White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt saying the Israelis consulted with the White House before going forward with the action. 'All those who seek to terrorize not just Israel but also the United States of America, will see a price to pay. All hell will break loose,' Leavitt said, quoting the president's previous threats towards Hamas. The Associated Press contributed reporting. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
