Investments in Ibri Industrial City exceed RO 19 million

IBRI: Ibri Industrial City, affiliated with the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn), succeeded in localizing nine projects across various sectors during 2024, with a total investment volume of RO 17.3 million across a total area exceeding 109,000 square metres. The number of projects in the city currently stands at 16, including one project in the production phase. The total investment volume in the industrial city by the end of last year reached RO 19,835,000, and the total leased area increased to 188,893 square meters. Salah bin Nasser al Alawi, Director General of Ibri Industrial City, said: "Madayn is currently preparing to implement the security gate project for the industrial city and beautify the main roundabout." He added that the fuel station was officially inaugurated as part of the integrated services station project, which also includes a rest area and a truck and car service station. The inauguration was conducted by an investor, providing services for companies, workers, nearby residential neighborhoods, and road users adjacent to the city. It is worth noting that the inauguration of the infrastructure construction project in Ibri Industrial City (Phase One) has created a favorable environment for investment by providing all services and investment requirements, such as roads, lighting, electricity, water, sewage, and other services. The Industrial City Administration seeks to establish a range of industrial, commercial, and service activities, including light and medium industries in various sectors, most notably the food and paper industries, as well as the maintenance of equipment used in the oil and gas sector and other small and medium-sized enterprises. The City also aims to establish a commercial zone, administrative offices, logistics warehouses, a commercial strip, and a residential city for workers in the Industrial City. This will benefit from the Industrial City's strategic location at the intersection of active trade routes between East and West and its proximity to the border crossings linking the Sultanate of Oman with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the land crossings with the United Arab Emirates. —ONA
