Gang that stole RRUs from towers busted, 8 arrested in Noida
Noida: Eight gang members who stole
radio receiver units
(RRUs) and other equipment from mobile towers were arrested on Friday. About 35 RRUs worth Rs 3.5 crore, a WagonR car, and Rs 4,850 cash were recovered from the accused.
According to Shakti Mohan Avasthy, DCP (central Noida), complaints of theft of valuable equipment from mobile towers were being received regularly from different police stations of the district, The suspects were arrested on Friday by officials from CRT, SWAT, and the Surajpur police station.

The accused are identified as Salim Malik (38), Abbas Malik alias Bashu (57), Shanu Malik (40), Shanu (37), Imran Malik (23), and Salman Quereishi (25) of Muradnagar, Ghaziabad; Suhail Qureshi (25) of Baghpat; and Shahnawaz alias Sonu (32) of Muzaffarnagar. Abbas is the kingpin. The criminals revealed that in the past year, they committed crimes in
several states.
