Michigan woman killed in crash along I-70 in Missouri

The victim was listed in the Missouri State Highway Patrol report as a 33-year-old woman from Saginaw. She was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze eastbound on Interstate 70, near milepost 84, at the time of the 10 p.m. crash. The car drove off the right side of the road and struck a bridge. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the report, with the body taken to the Saline County Coroner's office. The Saline County Sheriff's Office assisted troopers at the scene.

According to data from , 10,092 customers in the state were without power shortly before midnight. Two hurt, home lost in Saline County fire
SALINE COUNTY, Kan. (KSNW) — A fire that broke out Thursday evening northeast of Salina left two people injured and destroyed a home, according to the Saline County Sheriff's Office. Deputies and firefighters from Rural Fire Districts 5, 7, and 2 responded around 5:40 p.m. to a house fire in the 1500 block of N. Marymount Road. Emergency crews arrived to find the residence fully engulfed. A 75-year-old woman sustained serious burns and was transported to a local hospital before being transferred to a facility in Wichita for further treatment. An 83-year-old man was also hospitalized after suffering smoke inhalation. Charter bus headed to Emporia had liquid meth instead of passengers Investigators believe electrical issues likely caused the fire, though the official cause remains under review.
