I-DLE Minne has a shopping addiction? Read to find out what the idol has to say
In a recent appearance,
I-DLE
(formerly (G)I-DLE) members
Yuqi
and
Minnie
went on a popular variety show called 'Salon Drip '2. The duo was there as part of promotional activities for their new album release as well as the name change.
Yuqi and Minnie talk about finances and money management
During the variety show, both of the members talked about how they managed their finances and money while living in Korea. According to Allkpop, the members talked about how they have to manage their finances all on their own, saying that 'Most of the Korean members have their parents managing their money, but we have to take care of it ourselves.' Minnie is originally from Thailand, while Yuqi is from China.
While talking about her experience, Yuqi shared that 'I'm close with the branch manager at KB Kookmin Bank. He told me, 'You come to the bank more often and manage your money better than most Koreans'.' This is due to the fact that the idol often visits the bank regularly.
Yuqi also shared that to plan for the future, she has made a number of investments in savings, installment plans, bonds, and funds, to which Minnie also replied by saying that 'I invest in funds too.'

Minnie shares that her credit limit is never enough
The idols shared how they both regularly use credit cards for purchasing items; however, Minnie often runs into a problem. She confessed that she often hits her credit limit quickly, even after raising it. She shared that, 'As a foreigner, I often run into credit limit issues. Even after raising my credit limit, it's still not enough.' As Minnie confessed, Yuqi teased her fellow member playfully and shared that 'Maybe it's just because you spend too much.'
The two continued talking about the issue, with Yuqi sharing that 'Minnie is such a shopping addict that she'll even borrow my credit card to buy things.' Minnie even herself admitted the same and shared that 'I max out all the cards I have, borrow others' cards, and eventually end up using my dad's card and paying him back too. I've been addicted to shopping since my trainee days."
Minnie was also asked by the host whether she gets any financial advice from her family, as her father is the vice president of Thailand's first-ever bank. In response, Minnie clearly stated that she manages her own finances here. She shared that, 'Since I earn money in Korea, I manage my finances here. My money is my money, and my dad's money is my dad's.'
Yuqi talks about her spending habits as well
Minnie also shared some information about Yuqi's spending habits. She shared that 'I spend small amounts often, but Yuqi spends big all at once.'
In response, the I-DLE member explains her situation and shares that 'Spending under 100,000 KRW (71 USD) on daily stuff feels fine, but spending between 500,000 and 2 million KRW (353 to 1,412 USD) feels way too expensive. But if it's over 10 million KRW (7,062 USD), somehow it feels okay. I don't hesitate to buy really expensive things.'
