Salzer Electronics bags Rs 192 crore BBMP order for smart street lighting project

Salzer Electronics Limited has received a work order from the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) to implement an energy efficiency project in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The project is aimed at improving the energy performance of street lighting infrastructure in selected areas of the city.
Under the contract, Salzer Electronics, in partnership with Schnell Energy Equipments Private Limited, will carry out the installation of a Centralized Control and Monitoring System (CCMS) for street lights. The scope of work also includes replacing conventional streetlights with energy-efficient LED lamps in the East Zone and part of the Bommanahalli Zone of BBMP.
The project is valued at ₹192 crore and is scheduled for completion within eight months. Payment for the contract will be disbursed over a period of 84 months, according to the agreed terms.
This initiative is part of BBMP's broader efforts to enhance energy efficiency and improve public lighting infrastructure in Bengaluru.
