DISCIPLINARY: Five charges from Magic Weekend matches
WHILE his squad's injury worries show little sign of abating, Sam Burgess will not lose any of his Warrington Wolves players to suspension for Sunday's Challenge Cup semi-final. The RFL's Match Review Panel have released their findings following the Magic Weekend fixtures, with five charges handed out across the competition. However, there are no charges for any Warrington players nor are there any for opponents Wigan Warriors, who ran out 22-20 victors in the penultimate game of the weekend in Newcastle. Indeed, four of the five charges stem from Sunday's first game – Huddersfield Giants' victory over Hull FC – which saw two yellow cards and one red shown. The player who was sent off – Black and Whites prop Liam Knight – will not face any further action after he was dismissed for a dangerous tackle on Huddersfield's Sam Hewitt just seconds after teammate Sam Eseh had been sin-binned. Eseh has been charged with Grade C head contact for his yellow card incident while the Giants' Tom Burgess, who was sin-binned shortly before, has a Grade B late contact charge.
